    If Rio No 5 is playing then I reckon he will be the automatic choice.....

    Actually, that's a good call PTH. He was captain temporarily a few months back and, if anything, seemed to raise his game for it (unless my memory is playing tricks).

    Cometh the hour, cometh the man;
    Cap'n Diakite has a certain ring to it, wouldn't you agree?

    I think either Henry or Ferdinand could do a good job. In the latter's case, it might encourage him to concentrate for the full 90 minutes (plus added time).

    Thanks KPR.............. I appreciate where everyone is coming from with regards Rio but I personally feel that the captains role should be earnt rather than handed to Rio simply because he is...............well.................Rio!

    Rio hasn't done anywhere near enough this season to warrant being made captain and it sets the wrong tone imho.

    Zamora has battled on with a well documented history of physical niggles and put in as much of a shift as he is able.

    This is the sort of example a captain should be setting to the youngsters and should imo be rewarded for such, rather than being given the armband simply because of who they are.

    In my opinion it shouldn't be Green, keepers shouldn't be captains, it's like asking a drummer to do a press conference... Same with Austin, he only needs one focus which is the net, I wouldn't give it to a defender either, I believe Henry or Sandro are the ideal choice, they are in the ideal position and it could be the making of both of them...

    Henry yes, do not trust Sandro after losing control of himself in that U21 match and being red carded for a violation on a 17 year old - he should know better and be able to handle his emotions.

    Sounds like a character from Star Trek...perhaps a dingleberry or a Klingon?

    One of us? Eh???

    I've just googled him. The man's 72 and made his debut in 1961! How does age 12 or youth at all come into this??? If he was playing in the early 90's and someone never heard of him then I'd expect the person to be young. (He was the guy who coached Italy 15 years ago......Maybe I should have remembered his name from that?)

    You are making no sense Sir

    Zamora, Rio or henry for me. Would prefer the former though, leads from the front, (most) fans love him and he's a top pro.
