There is banter Watford, which I am all for, but this is a serious issue that should not be used for mocking and point-scoring.. Your posts like 'Standard' for Chelsea fans are snide and unnecessary. You could not wait to get your thread up about Paris on the Rangers board, could you? At least your second post "On the positive side, this shows Chelsea'a traditional support hasn't been totally priced out of going" is a little funny rather than just snide
Matic is a crybaby who doesn't like to be tackled. He fully deserves a 3 match ban. It is also nice to see that West Ham fans are nothing like your racist mob. http://www.unilad.co.uk/video/west-ham-fans-brilliantly-spoof-chelsea-racism-video/
Certainly one of the worst. I think what I found even more despicable is the complete lack of empathy from the player. Having just delivered such a horrible challenge you'd have thought he'd have shown some concern for Matic. But instead he turns his back and shrugs his shoulders. Don't wish ill on people but perhaps if someone injures him in their next game i'll enjoy the irony at least.
No bit in particular. Just you. You say "Like it or not, a more significant minority tarnish Chelsea in that way than just about any other English club". How do you know? There were 5 people identified as the culprits in Paris out of 4000 that travelled.
But it's hardly an isolated incident (at least compared to other clubs). Again, I stress it's a small minority, just a larger minority than other clubs. For the record I think QPR are far from perfect either. I don't think there's anything too controversial in that unless you insist on being defensive.
Not sure you could make that statement tbh, the only reason we even know about this is because someone was recording it happen. This could happen 10 times a week all over the country, and unless the victim reports it to the police, or someone starts filming, it would go completely undocumented.
Mostly personal experiences but silly little things like the 'you know what you are' to Anton Ferdinand and the bloke who abused Welbeck don't help.
Granted we had a problem with racist idiots in the 80's, as did other clubs. We have however, worked hard to eradicate it and because a few idiots abuse someone in Paris you assume that we are the worst. As I said though, you don't know what goes on at other clubs and neither do I.
I was in total disagreement with the Ferdinand chant as it was in poor taste but I can assure you the vast majority were implying he was a c*nt rather than anything racist. It was also sang to Rio.
Ah hem back to the actual thread topic. "The FA confirm no further action in relation to Ashley Barnes as the incident was seen by the officials," said English football's governing body. Am I psychic or wot!
