New signings / Henderson

Bearing in mind all the signings so far - would Jordan Henderson be in the starting eleven if he was still a Sunderland player?

 

Yes, just more competition for him, so he'd have to be better, and that's a good thing.

 

I dont agree he'd be a regular at all! Larson is a better crosser and natural winger and Gardner is a better goal scorer! I'd have been disapointed to see him start infront of these 2!

 

He wouldn't have been in my starting XI for most of last season... Now he'd be way down the pecking order.

Funny that because most of our fans, with the Henderson transfer, and you're fans, with the greasy neck beards transfer, seem to have accepted it and then decided we didn't need them.

 

I wouldnt have had him in for most of last season also. We are looking way more comfortable in midfield now than we did last year.

We just know that with 35m we can build a squad stronger without him than we could with him and without the money

 

how do you know that? you havent played without him yet

 

You're definitively claiming that no one thinks you didn't need him. Interesting, you must have lots of friends and even more time. That's not what your lot were saying on our board at the end of last season.

 

We've got a bloke who can take set pieces well. That's pretty much all Henderson offered us last season, set pieces, and he didn't even take them well.

 

I agree there were a lot that thought we didnt need him but there were alot who know of course we would still have him but 35m is alot of money, thats henderson and bent put together (almost)

 

Colback was much better in the middle by the end of the season. On the right I could not say but I suspect he would have had tough competition against Sess and Larsson.

Bruce sold him at the right time IMO.

 

All the players we have brought in cost about the same as Henderson. Now I liked Henderson and was sorry to see him go. However with the Henderson Money I think we have a much stronger first team and squad.

 

Dont know , dont think we have seen the best of Henderson yet, time alone will tell.
