Id rather have 80% off a quality player than 100% off the crazy ginger ninja!

I've met McShane and he's a thoroughly nice bloke, he always gives 100% on the field too, but the fact remains, he's a ****ing useless footballer.

Seems like a good time to resurrect this old beauty.

In your opinion, he's a decent player at this level. Popular around the club, I'm sure if the club weren't desperate to trim the wage bill then he would stay.

That's the difference between he and James Bullshit. Macca actually would take a drop from his ridiculous salary to still receive a very good one if it meant he could play.

If he's one of the worst players you've seen, then you haven't been watching football for too long. Believe me City have had far worse than Paul McShane in the last 10, 15, 20 years.

    :emoticon-0114-dull:

The comment was supposed to be taken with a pinch of salt. I'm only 19, so no, I haven't been watching City for 20 years.

Maybe I was unfair. Paul isn't one of the worst footballers I've seen, but he is BY FAR one of the worst defenders. Better?

I'll drive him to Reading myself if this comes off.

I still think the criticism of McShane is unfair. He really was ok, not outstanding. The few games he played at the start of the season I thought he did ok, certainly not the worst player on the pitch. He attacked the opposition with the ball, and was controlled in the tackle.

If he took a 50% reduction, and maybe doubled the length of his current contract, I'd keep him.

In Macca we trust. The ginger ninja is quality!

Anyone who thinks Mcshane is one of the worst footballers is frankly a buffoon who just follows sheeplike the catcalls from other morons. He's ok, no better and no worse.

If you think Mcshanes the worst player you've ever seen, you clearly never followed city when we had Junior Lewis -.-

I don't take note of what you say, not since you made yourself look like a royal prat with your company car logic.

I've always liked Paul McShane, particularly when he had a word with Bellamy at Eastlands!! :emoticon-0116-evilg

BUT, he is not as good as Rosenior, Chester, Gerrard, Hobbs or Ayala, who are the ones he might be competing with. So when you consider his £20k salary being an impediment to our signing quality player(s) for the Championship, it is understanable news of his possible transfer is met with approval.

Aagin, Junior Lewis was terrible. Mcshane just isn't good enough for his ridiculous wage. Lets all be honest, if he wasn't earning silly money (and he wasn't ginger) he wouldn't be so much of a target or scapegoat. I think he's ok-ish.

I don't even know his wage, though I assume it's a lot. I just think he's been far too **** for far too long to maintain my patience with him.
