Thought Skerts and Mings were our best players today. Marko was never in the game, Lallana and Allen were their usual useless selves. Lovren did not look comfortable, but then he has not played much since we went three at the back.

As a team we gave the ball away far to easily and far to often, luckily the Saints did not play as well as they can so we git away with it.

Hope Sakho is back for the City game or they could hammer us.

Disagree allen was useless, thought he pressed and broke up play well.
But skertel and Ming were both excellent.
Worst performance for long time but an ugly win is what many were crying out for early season. Excellent result.

Not really much quality in the game today but a great tempo.

Saints looked more affected by the crowd than Liverpool... was one of the worst displays I've seen from them this season. Created virtually nothing. Referee was awful mind.

Think MOTM was one of Henderson or Yoshida - would've picked Fonte but he should've conceded a penalty.

Sterling is lucky the ball fell to him because he had a pretty poor game.

What was with all the fouls around the edge of the box today?
Endless needless fouls, if we do that next week City will have a field day

Yep, can't argue with that <ok>

Also thought Moreno did well when he came on as well.

Jordan Henderson: "Philippe Coutinho's goal was outstanding but he does that a lot in training."

If we play like that against City we'll be slaughtered. I hope Rodgers will not sit back like he did today.

Saints are so toothless upfront and miss a real game changer - next season they'll be the new-Newcastle

    Filip Djuricic admits diving twice:

"The first one I feel the contact, it was light contact but I fell down. The second one was more a penalty than the first one for sure. I feel his hand on my shoulder and I fell down."

Thier firm has been mid table. Ours has been league winning type form since then

Only need look at premierleague.com form table for the evidence

We are still 15 points behind chelsea and 10 behind City, they are the standard bearers not utd

We are not about catching utd as a big club we are about winning things in our own right or should be

A lot of people said we would go down this season. Were you one? We are a top 8 team atm. People thinking we could get in the top 4 were dreaming.

Allen was good today. He doesn't do anything spectacular so doesn't stand out but he keeps things neat and tidy and his pressing is vital to how Rodgers wants the midfield to be. He doesn't allow players to get on the ball and turn, instead forcing them backwards.

Depends if we can get £15m+ for a guy that hasn't played for a year (Rodriguez) from Spurs.
