We did play poorly, no doubt about it, but why shouldn't I mention that the refs decisions made a major contribution. Plenty of teams play poorly and win.

Good effort from both sides. I should be happier with the late point, but it's hard not to wonder what would have happened if Eriksen had played the whole game. Great effort to get the draw, but we desperately needed three points today. The moment you think we've got it going in the right direction, we find a way to f it up. That's three goals Rose has been standing around with his arm up when a serious effort at defending looks like it would have prevented a goal. There are those who would have learned from the first mistake, and those who would have taught him.

i think this game highlights the need to give chadli a run in team, drop lamela FFS! Dembele is just a sideways passer and offers nothing and without Eriksen, we have no focal point up top.

Yeah, it's unheard of for Liverpool to get undeserved points from penalties in home games, isn't it? <whistle>

Sorry if I said you shouldn't complain about the ref...I was so frustrated with how poor we were...particularly dembele (who I want to be good) and lamela
I thought our performance was worse than the refs.

Fat sam is a charmless ****...defends noble not being sent off and ignores their luck with the offside and pretty much accused us of diving...so pleased to see him upset

It was the West Ham defender's reaction that convinced me the pen was a good call. On the replay, had it only been the push in the back, that would have been soft. But the defender also hooked his left arm around Kane's chest, so he was applying leverage to force him down.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to criticize your team on a chat board. I'm not even sure I ought to criticize fans at games for mumbling and even booing. But there's no doubt that more consistent support at games, even when we're not playing well, should improve our fortunes.

So I watch most games from far enough from the screen I often can't see exactly what's happening. But I thought Lamela ended up being effective, and would start Chadli, Eriksen and Lamela over both Dembele and Townend. Lamela's shot created the first goal. The way it seems to work is that Chadli provides width on the left, Eriksen runs the show, and Lamela scraps to get the ball forward, all with an eye to providing chances for Kane.

My beefs today are Pochettino not playing his best team two games in a row when they had been playing well, and Rose making the same mistake for the third time this year. Play to the whistle is a very simple rule to follow.

Well, at least this year's team is exciting...COYS!

Relatively soft, but Song catches Kane's foot and then puts both hands on him. Bit silly, really.

The penalty was very soft but it happens against us enough so you take it.

  15. That was a definite penalty. How many of those did Disco Benny give away!

Song not complaining says it all. He must have tripped him in addition to hooking him with one arm and pushing him with the other.

On the TV all they were talking about was the push but it seemed obvious straight away that the main contact was on Kane's right foot. Penalty.

The goon board is very weird.
They are moaning at our "lucky" penalty and lucky rose goal, ignoring our bad luck, ignoring their lucky penalty yesterday and claimingthat kane will leave when we fail to get top 4...nice to see that they aint still bitter about losing to us <laugh>
