Even the Baggies were able to beat the Spanners 4-0. We, on the other hand, make them look like world-beaters! What a complete shambles! Lamela is by far and away one of our worst signings. what is he good for? He's worse than Pav, and that is saying something! This performance is a joke!
If you change what you've been doing, and you get bad results, you look like an idiot. Pochettino looks like one today. No doubt his plan looked good to him when he came up with it. Quite possibly it was just luck that made it not work. But I certainly wasn't alone in wondering why you wouldn't play a full strength team after a long break, or why you would rest arguably your best player for a crucial league game. This looks like a case of hatching an elaborate plan when you needed to keep it simple.
It at about being down on our own team, it is about us recognising how shocking we played against a team who has only won 1 in 8 matches. We lost at liverpool but played well so no one moans ... this has been a piss poor performance so we are upset
You are probably right but it annoys me that they can't handle it. West Ham deserve credit though, they have played very well and made us look very bad.
Sometimes in defeat there are positives, but I can't think of a single one today. Really not sure what we do on Thursday. I would suggest rest anyone we think will start on Sunday as I don't want tiredness to be an excuse come the Chelsea game.
