To replace Matt Mills at Reading. Skysports.com understands that Reading are interested in Hull City defender Paul McShane. There is a god.......
Could be a good move for both clubs. Don't think McShane is terrible, but can't see him getting in the team with the defensive line that we have atm. It does mean we will have to look at RB cover though, even if it is just a loan. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11673_7025336,00.html
I just posted the exact same thing! Feel free to merge my thread And you are right, better to have him off the wage bill.
Hahaha great news, theres no way they will offer him the daft wages he's on here though is there. Hope theres some truth in this though.
double merge needed, thought my eyesight had gone funny when refreshing the page, 3 threads all worded slightly different
Losing arguably the best centre half in the league and replacing him with unarguably not the best centre half in the league. Fingers crossed this happens.
If its too good to be true..... Dont get my hopes up. Right im getting off to pub with a spring in my step, it better not be all a hoax by the time i get back.
i can imagine the interest being short lived.. "hes on how much?...oh right....er, wel call you back later "
Brian McDermott does seem to get the best out of players though. He took Reading to the play-off final with a seemingly mediocre team. Getting McShane to rise to the standard of Matt Mills (especially recently) will prove challenging however...
To get such a high earner out of the club (and still relatively early in the summer) would be a great boost. Fingers crossed in this one.
New Game - HCAFC Blankety Blank How to play: fill in the missing letters to complete a famous phrase. Round One: Laughing all the way to the b_nk. Used in a sentence: If Paul McShane joins Reading, Hull City will be "laughing all the way to the b_nk".
I liked McShane, good pro, not premier standard and not worth the salary he's on but not the players fault we were run by incompetent **** wits. Is there any players at this club past and present that any of you do/did like? There's always negative snide comments. Good luck to him if he does go, always tried his best in black and Amber.
To be fair though, I wouldn't pay £5mill for Matt Mills. Roger Johnson was bought for that and I think he's a lot better than Mills. But that's just my opinion. If Mcshane wasn't on silly high wages then I'd like to keep him. He's a good pro and actually gives 100% in a city shirt, unlike certain other high earners
Oh please. Even the most optimistic City fan would be happy to see him go. The mans a walking disaster. He was good when we had him on loan, but as soon as we bought him he was one of the worst players I have ever seen. It's not even about the wage he's on, the guy is pure awful.
