Okay - I am not a regular poster on here, but have followed the site for a number of years. Over the last few weeks I have noticed a lot of post "off topic" 11 on my first page to be exact..
This is supposed to be,and was a very good football site for following Sunderland , what happened ? Are people feed up with the site or do peoples emotions follow team,so nobody can be bothered at the moment?

With the football as it currently is I think people are less inclined to talk about it.

I was thinking of creating an "on topic" thread about football and discuss the 5 - 0 capitulation by Newcastle United at Manchester City however I am not sure that the members would want to talk about an "on topic" subject

It's not 'the site' I'm fed up with marra... And I for one enjoy sticking my head in the sand from time to time to chat about music / each other's problems etc etc. It's less disturbing (at times) !!
It's a typical Saturday night on here... Depression has once again kicked in and people try in vain to stay away from the board (I know you're all watching tho !!!). Tomorrow is 'debrief' day when everyone pops up and gives their honest opinion about the game and then it's back to picking the team and formation for next weekend full of hope and passion as always.
All we want is something to shout about and I'm 100% sure the gloom will lift ... And quickly !
This IS, WAS and hopefully ALWAYS will be a decent football forum and I for one think the majority of posters on here seem geat lads. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Fair enough if you want to create an "on topic" about football, my point was about this site and the lack of information about Sunderland that's all

If it's on this site http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier League/Sunderland then it tends to get posted on this forum, if there's no Sunderland threads going up it tends to be because there's nothing to report. You want to start some nostalgia threads knock yourself out but there's nothing really happening Sunderland related other than terrible football.

We need these off topic subjects to maintain our sanity seeing how things are on the football front. Topics about past mistakes/manager or players future/owners lack off can only go so far. Besides we know that we are only papering over the cracks with our solutions.

Sinta, clearly you missed all the Sara Palin nonsense on an OT post the other day. It was fabulous. As good as any footy post. Why OT posts are important. Many like it in years past, btw. All enjoyable.

    Don't tell Disco tho.

I think most people who post on the forum have mutual respect for other posters.although posts can get a bit heated at times.thats what it's for to let off a bit steam and make over our point .the off topic thing imo is because people can have a little banter when the board is quiet.
