What has happened/happening to the passing philosophy? Doesn't look like the players are buying it to me and Giggs looks more embarrassed each week.
I don't know. It isn't like we don't have the players either. See the formation I suggested above in the thread, there's width, flair and pace in it. It just doesn't make sense to churn out such dross. Can only assume that they are gripped by top four fever and are a bit crippled by it. Next season they have to open up.
Agree there seems to be an element of get top 4 regardless of performances. That said looking at Di Maria, if PSG are prepared to buy him for circa £50 million in the summer, I'd sell him and pay whatever it takes to land Gareth Bale.
Mcnair had just played really well for the past few games as a right back and our only right back is injured. Valencia is not a right back. Like McNair hes a stand in.
He's got to take some responsibility. It was obvious we need a right back. Not ideal in the January window admittedly but it was just patently clear one is needed.
You can certainly create lots though by overspending randomly and panic-purchasing. And you can, Chelsea solved most of their problems in the summer window
By hoofing it up to the auxiliary centre half? Tactical genius Van Gaal, destroyer of careers. Falcao, Herrera, Di Maria, who's next?
