I'm afraid that's what happens when a bad reputation precedes you. Barton's an easy booking to give for the refs and in this case an easy red. I agree with Sword's post above though.

You can put your hans on players you just cannot make an action that is or looks like a strike or threat. A punch in the nether regions would probably do it...

Swords this so what I want to say.
I hope I get the words right... In the proper world this was not a red card...he had been pushed, he retaliated in a like manner....all handbags. Wouldn't have been out of place in a playground. But in the current climate you cannot touch people....and in the current climate your reputation goes before you
So the two Hull players get nothing, although they start it...and Joey gets sent off.
Would like to say...Pathetic all round....

Having said all that Joey knows "the rules" and uses them for his advantage too
He is a Pollack who cost us the match
He may of cost us more than that.

When he returns I will not boo him...as I will be supporting the team fully...but to me he is now QPR past...he is not our future

Not sure about this 'cost us the match' stuff. We played better with 10 men after he went off. I don't think CR gets phased by injuries or absences, he just adjusts as necessary. Also it's no coincidence that Barton's improved performances have been since CR arrived with a game plan which didn't include Barton trying to pass like Glenn Hoddle in his pomp. He's not the only one who will look better now he's being coached.

Now Doughty, or Sandro if he's fit, will get a run in the team. Or maybe someone else.

"He is a Pollack who cost us the match". Be careful in your choice of words. Otherwise e-hubby will be starting "Overmodding - the next instalment" because of your comment about Poles

I think it's fair enough to say he cost us at least a point. We can never know what would have happened if he'd stayed on but trying to hold out for so long with ten men is always incredibly difficult in the premier league.
We have many injuries and so Barton's return to his usual antics could really cost us dear.

There's clearly something going on for Barton in his life that he needs to sort out. Before his run of cards he hadn't picked one up all season, yet his displays were lacking in his usual tenacity. This build up to yesterday seems to also be at a time when he has been becoming more vocal again on Twitter. Yes by and large his Twitter use nowadays is for the use of footballing debate, but in recent weeks he's been jumping on any topic to wind people up, his attack on religion was embarrassing.

But I do think this might be a blessing in disguise. A disruptive Barton out of the team while the team are clearly growing in confidence might not be a bad thing, Sandro is fit again, let's just hope he can stay fit for at least 3 games. But apologetic Barton with something to prove could be a vital in the run in, as long as he's sorted his head out again.

I Beg to differ Col, not wanting to defend him I feel I should.

At Citeh, He lost it and went on a rampage, escorted off the field by 2 of our own, yesterday he walked off and said sorry.

10 Game Ban minus a 3 game ban equals a 7 games ban improvement. Small measure as I think those 3 points were there for the taking and he should know what coming the minutes he raises his arms. It really cost us.

That useless joke of a ref let everything go, and penalised us for almost everything, as other have stated the Zarante yellow was the softest I've seen in a while.

I will call Barton out for being a prick on twitter on again though, did anyone read the apology to "those who travelled"

    Big Big, **** you Joey.

Yes mate, compared to what he did against City, there is an improvement. But the point I'm making is this; he still hasn't learned to keep himself under control and when he loses that control, he completely lets down his team mates, the club and the supporters.
In that regard, he hasn't learned a thing imo.

Well he got a straight red, the Stockport player not even a yellow.

Despite his departure, Worcester still won 2-0, their fans perhaps chanting, "that's the way we like it"?
