Just looked it up. The Liberty Stadium holds 20,827, today's game had 20,809.A shame we can't get within 18 of our capacity due to poor design and the police and SAG wanting ridiculous amounts of segregation. Noticeable there were no rows of empty seats separating the fans behind the goal.
He lost it didn't he? His amazed reaction to the penalty (Cazorla? Can't remember) which was simply placed to one side was ridiculous. He made a noise as if he'd never seen anything like it before.
There's just a pair of fixed barriers running up the stand, where the stewards sit/stand between the two sets of fans - it's mebbe a three or four foot gap, Corcoran would have kittens.
They're expanding it to 27,500 between now and next season, with the view to it becoming 32,000 in the future.
They should, definitely. But what made me smile was listening to 5 live on the way home, all the Chelsea fans ringing up bemoaning the ref and poor decisions. Not one caller or pundit suggested that a team which (without looking) probably pays one player more per week than the entire Burnley squad put together should be doing better at home without the need for help from the ref. Burnleys record signing is £3m ffs, one of Chelsea's players costs more than their entire squad. It's a shame Burnley got a point by but I'm ****ing glad a ref had the balls to tell Chelsea to **** off on their own patch, if they weren't such a bunch of conning, cheating twats with an arsehole of a whinging manager they might have had something go in their favour. They reap what they sow.
It's face Palm tv, but I feel the BBC are just taking the piss out of him now. Old man Motson with his hilarious incoherent ramblings. Similarly they took the piss out of Jimmy Hill towards the end of his career. Not so funny now you think it may have been due to early symptoms of his alzheimer's.
