Me too. I never want these deluded RS idiots to ever win. Those who think that the saints will fall away will have a massive surprise however. I just hope that come May we are still in the mix for the CL
We looked a lot better going forward, if we can keep that up and add goals i would be very happy for the rest of the season.
If we had the games to develop that I'd agree but we have Sunderland next at home and then Newcastle away. I can't see us gaining momentum. Besides I expect more tinkering for those games. We've lost momentum sadly.
LMAO at Match of the Day, a total of 6 minutes of the match shown. Went from 30 mins straight to 72 mins and showed fck all of the match. Basically the BBC equivalent of Goals on Sunday
We never had momentum in the first place. It has always been inconsistent. Bad performances mixed with good ones, results variable wins mixed with draws. Away performances poor mixed with some good home ones. We even had poor home ones too - Burnley ? We never had a truly long run when we were very good. That defeat at Swansea is part of the pattern and nothing has changed. We have always been in a massive struggle to get top4 and it has been so since day 1.
I think we were building momentum when were beating Livpl, Arsnl, Hull, Stoke, Southampton, Newcastle all the way up to the first week of January. After that we have struggled and stopped and started I agree. We've underperformed in some relatively easy games tbf since the new year. That's very similar to what happened under Moyes last year btw.
What I am saying is that the type of consistency or momentum we took for granted with fergie we've never had the last 2 seasons. And I am not expecting to get it for a while (whoever is manager ). So the defeat at Swansea is not the end of any run it is part of the season's pattern of games.
Quite a lot of huff and puff but little quality, yesterday. Swansea have given up playing a passing and possession game; for much of most games we simply give the ball to the opposition then try to stop them scoring. Nothing much from Man U. One of the dirtiest players in the Premier League, was used like a poor man's Andy Carroll & only Shaw and Young caused any real concerns although Di Maria was a bit of a handful for 15 first half minutes. Some very big names went missing for much, if not all, of the game - RVP was only noticeable when he was receiving treatment (hope it's not serious as it would be tragic for him & United and unfortunate for us having nearly been killed by Ash Williams a couple of seasons ago!). What was noticeable with United was their lack of cohesion - a few passing phases were excellent (one led to Ash Williams deflecting Herrera's shot for the Man U goal) but it had the feel of a group of players rather than a team. Would have taken a draw but on the day a United win would have been undeserved.
Didn't notice he was playing ... seriously, he was that anonymous - quite shocking for such a talent especially with the possession stats.
