Its not just the fact that we are on the receiving end of shockingly poor refereeing decisions, we are not even getting the luck of the 50-50 decisions or the decisions which are difficult for the referees or linesmen. Normally the home team get the 50-50's.....we dont!!!! We are just not getting the rub of the green!

Several explanations not least of which is the ball was nowhere either man, mininal contact, could have been a stumble, could have been a dive etc. We could go ad nauseam but the ref gave yellow. Maybe Pulis got it right when he said he had seen old grannies stay on their feet after a collision like that.
Cast your mind back to the Palace game where they should have had a penalty in the first few minutes.

The time has come for a third referee off the pitch to have casting vote over the referee for decisions like this. The "excuse" that modern TV and number of games is giving us more opportunities for mistakes to be made visible just doesn't wash. Before SKY we used to see Sunderland one week and Newcastle the next on ITV television with occasional Borough matches in between and we just didn't have this appalling standard. I don't remember EVER having the ref as the talking point after a match as often as now. Even Morinho has come out with complaints about the system so its not just us. If the technology is there to help then USE IT
The idea is sound but it would demonstrate just how inadequate the current crop of referees really are. A good idea but the FA will never agree for the simple reason that it will expose their short comings. They would never agree to that.
Ok then! Let me rephrase it and say that we are not getting nowhere near our fair share of 50-50 decisions! However I dont think there is a conspiracy against us! I just think we are unlucky!
