Don't get me wrong, I think the bloke's a prat and I thought his behaviour toward the end of the season to the club was pretty dismal. But actual hate is a strong, strong emotion. It really should take a lot more than a prat being a prat to muster that up.
Certainly don't hate him as he was part of our success, but I wouldn't mind a little bit of karma biting him
He left in what, July? It's now February. And it's still going on. That doesn't suggest to me that it's just fun. Like I originally alluded to, it will be interesting what the feeling is after tomorrow, once he has had his first game back. I'll not holding out much hope that this "fun" will finally die down, but it would be nice and I will stand to be corrected.
Yes, but it's the first opportunity for people to directly vent their collective spleen. Nothing to do with time, it's opportunity.
There has to be a first time for him to play at SMS....he will sigh with relief when he is back on the coach with the correct number of limbs.
Whenever I see a discussion about Lallana I always wonder if I missed the bit where he posted a video ****ting on a Saints shirt and then burning it or some such. What did he actually do that aren't just totlly unsubstantiated rumours or guesswork? As far as I know this is the main chain of events (please let me know if I missed anything); said he wanted to stay at Saints his whole career, year and a half later Liverpool come in and he tells the club he wants to go and pushes for the move, we get an excellent price for him, club statement suggests they aren't particularly happy, he puts out a bit of a crap ad in the Echo thanking the fans. Sure, that's not the perfect Lambert-esque way to make an exit but that was a unique set of circumstances, I don't like how it went down but I also realise I don't actually know how it went down so as such, I don't really give a ****. Since then there's been a few interviews where usually he's totally fine and complimentary (whilst still mostly bigging up Liverpool, as he would) apart from one throwaway line which everyone jumps on and assumes was a rehearsed, delicately composed jab into the heart of Saints fans that he can read in his armchair in front of the fire and laugh about whilst sipping brandy and plotting which orphanage he wants to buy and demolish next. The only reason I can figure out is that there's a crossover between those that said he'd never ever leave and even amidst the oncoming exodus he'd be the one who'll stay, and those who now consider him Hitler 2.0 and that they feel like he made them look foolish. He was the one that really hurt, and so people have jumped on all those little things that they'd dismiss about anyone or anything else and really taken them in, after all the easiest way to get over someone is to hate them, he was 'the one' but now he can **** himself and his cousin's best mate's brother said that his new boyfriend can't get it up and so he's cheating on them, so hah!
Don't need any more words than that. Sums up how I feel towards the sale of any player really, regardless of circumstances. They've left the club. For me, that's the start and end of the story every time. Ooooh, Utd losing!
Dear Southampton FC, Once again other PL teams have done their best to help us finish in the Champions' League places. Quite frankly they have been trying this all season. Please, please score at least one goal tomorrow and ****** win!!!!!!! Regards, Fran (x -> Fonte)
Thing is, as much as I dislike the croat and the earthworm, one of the main reasons I want to win is just to shut those Liverpool fans up who were taking the piss all the way through summer. They were very quiet at the beginning of the season but now they are going back to being those self-righteous knobs that need a good slap down once again.
I don't see how us getting a decent price for Lallana matters that much. It wasn't like someone came in with an offer we couldn't refuse and we were happy to do it. We got what we did for Lallana despite him handing Liverpool leverage.
