Minutes of all our meetings will be posted on our website, as will the minutes of our public meetings, details of our accounts and details of anything else we do.
Oh for ****s sake, Happy Tiger, change the bloody tune. You are comparing a part-time voluntary organisation with a professional football club with highly paid employed professionals making a dog's dinner of most things marketing, the things they get right are generally malicious and unworthy of their profession. CTWD had always faced it's chosen evolution to HCST, trying to score points over its process hiccups is not just boring but totally daft. There is nowt wrong with the volunteers card. Find another cause for your acerbic wit, this one is done to death; give the trust a chance to form, mature and prove itself, one way or another, as, if you are correct, it will have no teeth.
Its something non-profits tend to put out (and is required depending on the nonprofit tax status). Its just done once a year obviously and highlights what was accomplished the previous 12 months and what the goal during the next 12 months is. There is normally a section with finances, membership numbers etc but the real point is just really to highlight everything the group is doing and the direction the group is going. It wouldn't be as specific as how much is in a specific account or what was said in a specific meeting. Its done because most members are not involved to the point that they keep up on the day to day activities of the organization but have a desire to know what the organization they are a part of is up to. Here is an annual report. I wouldnt think anything this professional would be needed. http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/Global/usa/report/2008/11/greenpeace-annual-report-2006.pdf
That type of thing in organisations like this is, I think, usually covered by the minutes of the AGM. So yeah, you'll get what you're asking for just under a different name.
Just a quick update, the website domain has now switched to hullcitysupportstrust.com and you can now join here... http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/hcst-become-a-member/ A postal application form will also be made available shortly.
The membership cards have now arrived and have today been sent to everyone who had joined by this weekend. Invitation to Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting will commence at 11:00am on Saturday 21st February 2015. Doors will open at 10:00am for people that wish to join the Trust in advance of the meeting. Only shareholders with a valid membership card, or have signed up during the hour beforehand, will be permitted to enter and participate in the meeting. The meeting will be held at the Edwardian Suite, Mercure Royal Station Hotel, Ferensway, Hull. The room is adjacent to the ground floor bar area, which will be serving drinks during the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct and discuss important business for the Trust going forward: elect a Board of Directors nominated from the current shareholders - this election will be for up to nine board members, and will either require a vote for (if more than nine candidates) or an approval of (if nine or fewer candidates) each person standing. A further email will be sent out shortly on this subject; review the work of the Tigers Co-operative and City Till We Die over the last year, as the two bodies that came together to form the Hull City Supporters' Trust; review the work of the Trust going forward, including a review by shareholders of the proposed Trust business plan developed by the interim Board; approval of the current financial position of the Trust; and any other business that members wish the general meeting to discuss, which can be raised by any shareholder by notifying the Secretary in advance at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend and wish to tender your apologies, please email the Trust Secretary Mike Scott at [email protected]. Also please contact Mike if you wish to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf at the meeting.
Bump. Just a quick reminder that it's the Hull City Suporters' Trust AGM today, the meeting starts at 11.00am, but anyone wishing to join before the meeting can do so between 10.00-11.00am.
Just joined, the sun is shining and I've a feeling that this is going to be a good day.Reference the meeting I understand some of the former Co op finances are going to local youth football- well done.
http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/candidates-for-board-of-directors/ Nice and handy but ultimately disappointing for me. With the views of some of those very well known the chance of any working relationship with the club is dead. A massive opportunity missed. "We have ten people that are willing to volunteer to be Board Members for the Hull City Supporters’ Trust. The Trust Board will meet regularly and make decisions on behalf of the Trust’s shareholders. Whenever possible, and whenever there is sufficient time, the Board will consult with shareholders on significant issues before it makes decisions. There are up to ten places on the Board available, so at the moment there is no need for a full election vote at Saturday’s AGM. However it is important that all shareholders know who the Board Member candidates are. To this end, all candidates will each introduce themselves to the AGM before the meeting ratifies (or not) each appointment to the Board with a show of hands.
