He has to now, he can't run forever> He was very vocal in blaming the Pacquaio camp for the fight no going ahead in the past, Aram in particular, now all that is sorted he has no more excuses.

He also knocked Khan back in favour of Pacquaio. If it's on and I'm home, I'm gannin.

There's only one place for Mayweather to run and that is to start talking up a Cotto rematch which no one wants.

Similar to when we are linked to a player. Ill believe it when they are nose to nose at the press conference.

Wont be surprised if Mayweather finds another excuse.

The signs are better than ever though that it might happen.

Years too late but better late than never.

Even though Mayweather will be the undefeated favourite I think he needs this fight more than Pacquiao "legacy" wise.

If Floyd retires without fighting Manny it will always be thrown in his face and people will laugh when he claims to be the best ever.

Haha come on, Mayweather had every right to **** this match off in the past, once the two guys sign on the dotted line, Pacman's career is finished I reckon.

Everyone likes to root for an underdog but Mayweather doesn't go walking into punches like Pacman does, so IF the fight happens, I think we could be looking at the biggest anti-climax in boxing history.

You might be right Terry, but it has to happen, otherwise neither can claim to be the best imo. Surely either camp would want to know they fought the very best?

Pacman's nowhere near the very best, Mayweather doesn't need the fight apart from the money which seems to drive him. He's had a real life trauma late last year and who knows where his head will be after that. If by some freak accident, he loses the fight, he's still a better fighter than Pacman ever was.

I actually believe, if Khan can control his discipline and keep away from FM's mind games, he's Mayweather's biggest threat, he just MIGHT have too much speed for Mayweather. I'd still put Mayweather as a heavy favourite in that fight mind.

Either way, like you say, the fight needs to happen, just to put an end to the fiasco that's dragged on for too long, knowing sods law it will end up a draw!

    I agree.

Be good to see Khan v Brook on the under card as well, get that one out the way. Do the whole lot in Wembley Stadium. **** Vegas.

    Wishful thinking!

I'll be there in July, maybe they'll put it back a few months if I tell them I'm coming.

It could happen mate, they're touting the 2nd May but you know how these things go, think July might be stretching it a bit like.

Never seen the appeal of boxing or know about it.

I understand though that Mayweather is fantastic. How does he, and Pacquiao, compare to other sports persons and or teams?

They're both at the top of their game mate, but I couldn't compare Boxing to another sport.

Mayweather and Bolt I'd put in the same bracket today, complete domination of their respective sports.

Pacquiao is considered the best of the rest, like Suarez was last season if you like, you'd never put him up there with Messi and Ronaldo but he was very good.

Well they were a few years ago. I just can't see it happening. Mayweather's in a "got nothing to gain-all to lose" situation, so why should he.

Doesn't matter what Pacq says now, Mayweather will always just laugh it off.

The answer is yes. Unfortunately, this was a fight meant to happen five years ago. No matter, still want it.
