The tower in gunwharf quays gives a great view of the isle of white, Gosport and those fort things in the Solent. I used to live in southsea, can't beat the common on a hot summers day with a kens.
I do like Nice, been a few times. The port area does seem a bit touristy like. Love the old town and the bit around Garibaldi place. ****ing miles away from Monaco tho!

It is 17km, so roughly about 12 miles? And I used to live there, so, I don't feel the need to change my user name everytime I change my address
Apart from the climate, the food, the nightlife, the pace of life, the views over med, etc, etc, etc, yeh Portsmouth is way better than Nice
Apart for having a season ticket for 7 years and been all over Europe watching them, no, I have never been to see them, in fact the last time I saw them was on the back of the daily record, ya clown.
The port is shyte. The good parts are the old town but it's scruffy and heavily graffitied. Cimiez is better and there are some great Roman reains. TBH, none of Nice is that good, much better to go down the road to Villefranche or into the hills around La Turbie and Eze.

Hahaha yeah because La Turbie and Eze is ****ing banging mate. The best thing about La Turbie is that Monaco football team train there.
The food in Nice is tourist shyte, the pace of life is no different ....... it's all tourist paced 'get them in, served and out'. It's all very well posting endless etc etc etc etc's but Nice isn't well regarded in the south of France. It's a port and full of impoverished immigrants.
