The bottom line, unfortunately, is that the final outcome to this matter whichever way it goes and in whatever timescale will be dictated by the financial outcome
That is true to some extent Glam, but forewarned is forearmed and we the supporters are far more informed than we previously were and the boardroom now know that, and they also know that we know of the issues with our Trust that now need addressing, so the pressure is now on for the Directors of Swansea City to show their true colours regarding the Trust's much needed security and forward planning for the security of our club for future generations...............
I think they can make full personal statements to the fans......or perhaps the fans can leave them know what WE think of them
Suitable punishment has been arranged for members of the Swansea City Board for courting a sale of their shares to external foreign speculators...................
Well that was a waste of time....everything phil said we knew about already....the trust are as much in the dark as any of us.
I find it very convenient that they pull out at the same time the Trust holds an 'unofficial emergency' meeting
Was it? Because they've backed out of the deal, at least for now. At least it brings to light the feelings of the fans about this deal.
nobody knows what is happening yet,, check my previous posts and you will see that nothing is certain as nothing is concrete. They are ony in the frame and still are but so are others......nobody knows anything yet and it's about time now that the club made a statement on what is happening because the trust dont know. i had a whisper in my ear that jinx is one of the board members that will sell his 12% shares because someone will be joining the board soon. I cant see jinx selling myself but who knows anything that is going on...the trust dont...
Totally agree with this , we've been complacent and trusting that all's well with the world but as we know now things aren't as rosy we assumed they were .The Directors may feel they have nothing to explain and that aside considering how many season ticket holders we have then the 1100 paid up members on the Trust is a poor show .we do need to increase the numbers to enable a bigger voice to be heard .
The one thing we have learnt this week Dai is that members of the Board appear keen to flog their shares to any Tom Dick or Harry with shiny US Dollars. That totally changes the fans/Board relationship at the Club.
I dont see it like that myself, I see the board members looking at the future and realizing we will need some wealthy people on board if we are to maintain our premiership status. I believe their intentions are honourable and for the good of the club. There is not one director that would sell us down the river.....but i would like the board to keep the fans better informed and not let fans make silly speculations...
The Board have courted the sale of their shares to speculators from the USA. There is no money coming into the Club - it is going straight in to the pockets of the Board members. The crux of the matter appears to be that the Trust only have 21% of the Clubs shares, 4.01% short of giving them important voting strength to prevent any shady speculators from ripping the Club off in the future. The honourable thing for the Board to do is gift that 4.01% to the Trust. Job done.
It might have been packaged up by Huw Jenkins like that for the more gullible Dai, but some of us see through what has happened here, I said months ago I smelt a rat, and even back at the beginning of January I posted that I had heard it was not a take over but merely a board room re-shuffle, I even named the 2 directors concerned. Clearly we have two directors that for whatever reasons want out, and in their race to cash in their shares the selfishly put the club at great risk, something which in fairness to the trust they had spotted, and why they saw the extraordinary need to go outside of the boardroom and instruct their own legal team from London, now the way I see this is the Trust have some serious concerns as to the whole conduct of our board in this disgraceful affair, and clearly whether we like it or not there is now a divide between the supporters trust and certain board members which will need repairing, but for me the first thing Huw Jenkins and the board need to address is the vulnerability of the Trust which is clearly compromised under certain share holder conditions, and as todays statement by the Trust clearly shows that that now is top of the agenda, and we for our part should show our commitment and solidarity to the trust to ensure we are paid up members, lets not sleepwalk any more we have had a wake up call!........................
They will never get 25% that was made clear when the trust was formed. they also cant sell or make a profit for the fans. when you give money to the trust you will never see that again. the trust is nothing more now than a fans talking shop as they dont have any say or power in anything to do with decision making. i think it has used up its sell by date now and as a paid up member with a vote i find that sad.
