The flag looks brilliant, and the location is spot on <ok> Well done to all ! I propose we get an Assem Allam one done. Dutch, could you post where donations can be sent to again ? Some people might have missed it. The money will come flowing in surely !

It could work if it had a suitably ambiguous tag line, so all parties could interpret it how they chose.

How about 'like Allam to the slaughter'?

    Or "you are irrelevant"

If we put something really complimentary about him and hung it in the north stand it might blow his mind? :1980_boogie_down:

When or if this happens i will be texting the stewards to have them removed. Luckily Castro sits just in front of the banner so it'll be a clear view. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

A lot has been learned from this. Part of the problem has been that the engineers have concerns at the stresses a large 'sail' will have on the structure if it's secured on the gaps at the back of the stand. There are solutions that the club took the time to look at, but there's the issue of cost, plus the logistics of taking them down when the rugby is on and then back up for us.

Contrary to what some believe, the club have been supportive and helpful throughout, and even though I expressed my feelings and frustrations, I think it's fair to say they too were frustrated.

I think for simplicity, any future banners should either be smaller and held by individuals or small groups, or with the aim of being passed over our heads at the pre-game build up. I think passing over the heads could tie in with other thoughts on helping generate the atmosphere.

If anyone has any thoughts, trust me, the club will listen.

Yes, you cant trust them......its the away end !!!
As the SMC are kindly taking it down after games and storing it ( all FOC presumably !! lol ), would they be so kind as to erase/cover the football markings on the pitch, as I bet there will be no signs of the rugby markings come 3pm Saturday

I don't want to piss on the parade, but it is right where people stand, so will be obscured as soon as the match kicks off.

Good effort Dutch, but I think you're still being ****ed.

sums up the pathetic jokes incharge of things.

    it's pathetic

instead this great flag has to be hung where during a game, it won't even be really visible..

I'm not sure , but I think the flag on the Police box / Media suite will be above the fans heads. Surely the logistic points would of been raised beforehand.
