from SAFC.com "Newcastle game rescheduled. The forthcoming Wear-Tyne derby at the Stadium of Light in April has been selected for live television broadcast. The Black Cats were originally due to face Newcastle United on Saturday 4th April, but the game will now take place on Sunday 5 April, kicking-off at 4pm. Ticket details will be announced in due course." Surprised the Northumbria Police have agreed to that - full days drinking on a bank holiday weekend.
They set a precedent at their place so will be interesting to see how they manage it at SoL. We shall see soon enough.
There was little bother at their place and I see no reason there will be at ours. There's always gonna be pockets of ****ers at the derby, but the reality is the early kick offs just spread the trouble anyway, aggro in bars hours later etc. I reckon it'll be alright like.
That was a total 'one off' because no one wanted to risk prison over Christmas. There was also the 'memorial' aspect which will soon be forgotten. There will be major disorder if they try it again over there. There would be trouble if they allow Newcastle free access to Sunderland. It's not just a case of 'pockets of ****ers' ..... decent people having their 'local' invaded by Newcastle could be caught up in trouble as has happened before.
There was little bother at their place for the simple reason that Sunderland fans on the whole know how to conduct themselves..The other way round will be guaranteed trouble because the Mags on the whole do not..
Unless they've gotten a good scrap value for it they'll be desperate to use the 'wall of steel' again.
Regardless of kick off time, I will be in town bright and early for this one... 5 in a row, we want 5 in a row..
What you're actually GOING to that one? Thought you'd thrown in the towel and given up on us! http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2015/2/20/8074467/tyne-wear-derby-moved-for-tv they changed the title cos of my comment!! Annoys the HELL out of me when people call it Tyne-Wear derby when it's at our place!!!
Iam only going because my lass wants to go. Not going tomorr or any more home games. I rather paint my ****ing nails than watch that shower of ****. Enjoy being bored tomorr and remember to clap, sing and shout for our girl's LOL
**** off back to your home ground at NE1 then!! You certainly don;t "support" Sunderland - where were you when we got 15 points? I went to every home and most away games - why? Because I LOVE my club - not your club - MY club. Supporters should support their club not buy a season ticket and decide not to go because it's not as good as you want it to be!
It was a comedy film and this bloke thought he was a pirate http://unrealitymag.bcmediagroup.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/steve.jpg
