I have - Reading in the championship! My reading supporting mates were riling me up so much. And we lost 1-3. I think that game is the reason that I'm filled with trepidation for this one!
I was at that one too - if it makes you feel any better we always lose or draw when I go to St Marys and I'm going on Sunday... The only time I've seen us win in the last 3 years is away (Millwall, Arsenal).
Don't listen to him ! I've seen saints 3 times this season and we are unbeaten. Saw west brom, and both arse home and away (league cup). We will be fine ! I hope, pray, cross every limb possible...
I'm crossing everything too! Since us beating Crystal Palace 2-0 in our promotion Championship season I've only seen us lose or draw at St Marys starting with Bristol City the next game and the last game being Spurs last season. This will be game number 7!
Pepys, before you all go down that road of Saints only win/lose when I attend/don't attend matches, can I remind you you that these personal stats are all in your heads. You make no difference either way. Just go and enjoy the game and leave the rabbit's foot at home.
I know i'll be in a minority, but i'll actually applaud him. He played a crucial role in our rise and stayed at the club when we needed him the most, despite overtures from bigger clubs. Now Lovren, that's a different matter!
Who is this pillock journalist at the press conference? Ronald handled him very well. Long and Morgan back. Good news.
Ronald just went after the Sky journalist, asking him if he was Lovren and Lallana's agent - asked why he even bothered coming to talk to the Southampton manager. Asks him to stop. He carries on, Ronald says he will be respectful of everyone. Dejan and Adam are good players, they left, we replaced them with more good players. Sibley then tells the Sky journalist that he may ask no more questions.
Ah okay, good to know it was the Sky bloke. What an idiot. What's his name? (Not that I'm short of pantomime villains for this one!)
But, help or hindrance, your support could be the one that makes all the difference to the outcome of the match. That one moment of abuse shouted causes a momentary distraction and a slip, leading to a free kick and then a goal... maybe...
