A few World Cup tragedies aside, I don't think I've ever wanted to win a game more than this weekend.
The back story of the 3 L's is secondary to me. I really want us to win because we need to win to keep up the chase for top 4 and because our opponents are also chasing it. Getting one over on the players that left us doesn't really matter in the bigger picture. Though I will share a toast and a wry smile to Lovren and Lallana if we should win.
I love football. It's like Eastenders for men. Seems that we get to play the role of jilted lover this weekend.
It's more than this! It is about retribution for being pilfered, rewarding loyalty, sticking it to The Man! It's about the battling underdog overcoming adversity! David and Goliath! Conservatism vs progression! Heart overcoming greed!!! We march on! Rah rah rah!! Give me a soapbox and a spot on Match of the Day. This gig is easy.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-xi-phil-thompson-and-matt-le-tissier-call-it Couldn't see lambayama's post as I don't have a Google account, but assume this article from Sky Sports is the same one (?). Both pundits favour our defence, but generally favour Liverpool's MF and attack. Schneiderlin gets into both teams unsurprisingly. Not so sure about choice of Gerrard...no argument about him at his best and he can score out of the blue on occasion (boy, could we do with someone like that at the moment), but it all depends on which Gerrard turns up on the day.
Clyne interviewed on Sky. Praises Koeman and says Saints could be playing in Champions' League next season (of course to both). Note to Nate: gold padded gilets are never a good look!
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...ts_will_miss_out_on_Champions_League/?ref=mac Redknapp thinks we will finish outside top 4....and we speak so highly of him Tbf...he does praise Saints, but more worringly he was watching the u8s and U9s. Don't tell me there is a little Redknapp playing football out there.

He was and is a fantastic player and I love watching him play for Southampton. What I really loved was that he made me believe that he was Southampton, in fact Mr Southampton. I remember reading that article only 2 Christmas' ago. Maybe I was naïve, but he suckered me in. He screwed us over because he became "better" than us. He can do one as far as I am concerned. And I'll be letting him know.
Agree they have got it right. Lambert was never going to play much at Liverpool and I still have no idea why they bought him. Can't see him being picked for England anymore unless there are injuries either. Shame he would have been better off here covering for Pelle.
