2 of them were offside and streaky players like Lukaku are great at putting themselves in the shop window but their inconsistency does nothing for the team's progress, hence your season

I was right about Stones <ok>

  4. Its also quite tight with the original predictions. You said four and Tobes said five. They will win their next two IMO so comes down to the Arsenal game.

I said 3, thinking they only really deserved 2 but would rob someone over 9 games

They robbed Palace after injuring their striker (Young Boys too with the offsides but they didn't take their chances with the penalty/sitters)

He's a good player but it's becoming very apparent why Mourinho let him go. Doesn't have the decision making of a top striker and his finishing whilst good isn't brilliant.

Doubt he'll ever play for a 'top' club if we consider them to be Barca, Chelsea etc level. Might well make a a £20m ish move to a club a level or two below - a Roma, Wolfsburg etc.

It's true that he'll improve but that picture is a bit misleading...

He scored half those goals in Belgium did he not?

And the like of Ronaldo, Costa, Neymar were't strikers - only Costa is one now.

Ronaldo, RVP, Eto'o, Aguero, Rooney etc all played in top leagues... and besides goals it's pretty undoubted that say Rooney at 21 was miles ahead of Lukaku!

It merely highlights his age and his goal scoring prowess, it's not saying he's better than anyone, just that he's undoubtedly a top drawer young striker, which he is.

29 goals in 58 starts for us.

I realise I might sound over-critical. I do think he has a lot of good attributes and can look forward to being a very effective striker in the right systems.

However his sheer physicality is well beyond his years and I think has allowed him to reach the level he's at now very quickly. What I doubt is whether he'll get much better. The best strikers - Aguero, Suarez, Ibra etc all read the game faster, possess great vision... the pure finishers (very rare) like Falcao (was) have that mental ability to be decisive. I don't see signs of this in Lukaku. If you look at Rooney as a teenager, he was scoring goals but also linking play, dropping deep etc. He was a freak yes but they're the signs of emerging world class talent.

I would say that right now Kane looks to have more to his game than Lukaku - his movement is much better and he tries to link attacks together. He has to show it's talent rather than form now.

I watch him every week mate, and his movement and football intelligence is not in question.

He's always making intelligent runs, the issue has been having someone in midfield on the same wavelength with the ability to pick him out. Stick someone like Mata behind him and he'd be frightening

The area of his game that needs work his his hold up play and first touch. He's not the finished article but how many are at 21? If he continues to work at his game, he can be as good as he wants to be.

I watch Everton quite a lot - I spent the last two years with a housemate who's a big fan so I try and watch them if Liverpool aren't on at the same time... Obviously you've watched more but pretty much every game I watch Lukaku in he'll make a bad decision or two - delaying a pass for instance - nearly every time I watch him he'll butcher a counter attack at some point.

If he does keep improving he could obviously be frightening... but I do wonder if he ever will. Would be surprised if he ever hits 20+ a season regularly.

With the ball Lukaku is very sloppy. Almost as if he loses concentration when having the ball, if he players around him to provide good service then he will get 20 plus a season.

Would Bayern/Real/Barca look at him to buy? I don't think so. Maybe PSG

As an Everton player Lukaku has 7 goals (and 1 own goal) in 25 games

lukaku is half decent but seems to be remarkably similar to his belgian team make benteke in that he seems to just bothers himself for a short period. I'm sure all that matters is everton need his goals and they are coming.

however he's not worth the fee chelsea extrorted.
