I did a project in school once where I had to develop a database solution for a video shop. It is fairly straight forward for simple things and I would imagine there would be plenty of tutorials online. Professor Google is your friend
yeah its on 'quackit' etc, but in my experience some of the 'techies' on forums and the like know best
Access is ok for cataloguing your collection of illegally downloaded films or your CD collection, but it's of no use whatsoever in a commercial environment.
i have job interview and have to do an IT assessment as part of the process all the other stuff is not an issue, just never bothered with access. its specifically mentioned as 'must have knowledge of' so thought i would ask
Proprietary file format, suitable for small-scale LAN-based databases, ODBC links to external data sources (as per Excel), best used in a back-end/front-end structure (i.e. one shared .mdb file for the data tables installed on a server, a second locally installed .mdb file for the data entry and report forms), ok as a front-end to SQL databases... not sure what else.
I thought if you offered an opinion on its application it would appear that you know how to use it. Just google "introduction to" or something.
