Ibe's been brilliant tonight. Best player for us, still lacks a little bit of end product, but really positive play from him. Not too keen on Hendo and Balotelli having a "small disagreement" especially once Balotelli had put the ball down on the spot... once that has happened, don't go and talk to him and distract him. Luckily didn't matter and nice to see Balo and Hendo hug and smile with each other afterwards
What is the story with henderson? Has he developed a gerrard complex or what???? FFs he is not a pen taker, balotelli or lambert if on are Henderson seems to think that captains armband gives him super powers to take every set piece He wants a word seriously... Badontelly was right IMO, take responsibility he knew he'd stick it away... His record there does speak
1. Henderson didn't seem to have any problem giving it to Balotelli (in fact looked like he was planning on it anyway). 2. Balotelli has one of the best PK records out there and is definitely cool from the spot 3. Sturridge seemed to want the penalty himself - but he's missed them before and I don't think he's quite 100% back into his groove yet. If anything Henderson showed a lot of authority giving it to Balotelli instead of Danny.
Was interesting.. I thought it was a disagreement between the 2 but Sturridge being upset suggests maybe Hendo stepped in and made the decision. Sturridge should never take a pen after the shockers he's taken in the past
I thought it was Sturridge that was moaning, you see Sturridge talking to Henderson about taking the penalty, also you don't see Studge celebrate when Mario scores either.
I've been reasonably impressed with our defence tonight. A similar performance in Turkey should see us through Sturridge and hendo have been poor. Balotelli's definitely the man i'd back on set pieces if nothing else
