And what about the ball through to Chadli just before the goal? I'm really coming round to the idea of Soldado being our best direct replacement for Eriksen. He does it every game.

I like Fiorentinas style though. Very unitalian. Could be a lot of goals in this tie.

Our defence needs to close down their attackers, like the midfield is doing to their midfield

Maybe Soldado will decide to go back to Spain, in the summer and.........
    .........hopefully he'll stay there.

    But harsh Bajan! :)
Fiorentina are a good footballing side which is making this a good game. Plus it's two teams who don't defend that well so it's wide open at times.
    Unlucky by Chadli there.

We have had so many chances to score we should be out of sight. It's almost too easy and that often means wasted chances.

This game should be over by now. The ****ing tie should be over. How the hell are we level?
    Not clinical enough.

Fiorentina look very, very susceptible to pace, yet we're failing to pick out a final ball and put them away.
They do the dark arts rather well, diving all over the place and handballing it repeatedly, but they've struggled so badly at the back.

With all the pushing and pulling in the box in these games it's not surprising that the ref missed the penalty on Vertonghen.
Giving it the other way was a little odd, but the pointless bloke behind the goal couldn't have missed it. Right in front of him.

Frustrating stuff so far, but we've been well on top. Get it right in the last third and we should be ok.

An exciting first half football wise. Score wise, disappointing. Hopefully we can be a bit more ruthless in front of goal and more solid in defence to stop giving them so much encouragement to attack.

Only Spurs can go from looking dominant to nervous in the space of a few minutes. What is it with us?!

It's Spurs. We are totally incapable of doing anything the simple, easy way!..
