After discussion with various posters I have decided to have a vote for the top of the forum...

    The Thread Directory

    OR

    Numerous different important pinned topics

The other various topics should also be in the thread directory such as a match summary thread. We could also designate different writers for match summaries by PM.A different individual does it each game.

I voted for the various important 'pinned' topics. I'd say putting the Anfield Arms Pub Thread, The Rumours And Transfers Thread and the LFC Today Thread back to the top.

    Chris.
Wouldn't they best be put into the thread directory, thus leaving more room for new articles. As the stickied articles took up too much space. There was less room for new articles.

I understand them points but the Anfield Arms Pub Thread, The Rumours And Transfers Thread and The LFC Today Thread seemed to be used a lot less once they were taken off the top. They are good threads and they died when they were taken off the top. I think the problem in the end is that we had 5/6 sticky threads at the top and that was too many. I would say that three is a fair amount.

What about both? Welcome and Anfield arms pinned but others in the directory for example.

If we pin the same amount as before it looks a mess and posts dissapear to the next page and are ignored.

However I get that people are using some of the more popular threads like Anfield Arms less now that the directory is there.

I also use the links in the thread directory a lot so it's really useful.

So I think both would be perfect.

Chris if you put them into a ''folder'' that counts as one thread as such,we could add other things into that folder.Like a match summary thread.

I'd keep both. Put the anfield arms and transfers/rumours at the top and keep the rest in the directory.

Thinking about it the thread directory is essential or we would end up with a page full of stickies eventually. Maybe a new vote on what gets taken out of the directory to keep the people who want some threads stickied.

That would be fine,as that would leave the necessary 3 sticky threads.

Combination of the two. Keep the directory, but stickie the pub thread and Photoshop.

These two are the most popular and attract new members. We need a general chat thread, and the pub fits this.

What about the rumours and transfer thread?

I'd say that was a good thread and it was used a lot before it was taken down.

I didn't realy use them tbh. Any rumours are made into threads anyway. My opinion anyway.

sticky the pub thread, welcome thread and the photoshop thread. The rumours and transfers could be covered by individual articles but those 3 can't really.

    Fair enough. <ok>

I thought that the rumours and transfers thread was made to stop everybody making separate threads about the rumours. That's why I thought it was a good thread.

That's a fair point. I don't think it did though/or would. Let the people decide!

I don't think the transfer thread worked tbh. I think once a player a linked a thread will start and any duplicates can be merged. this keeps the forum ooking as up to date as possible for lurkers

Sticky Anfield Arms as it's a good general chit chat thread (which means I dont have to visit the chit chat forum)

Sticky Photoshop thread as I truely believe that in time this could be as good as the RAWK one once we get some photoshoppers in

I thought about creating an anti man utd thread where by once a thread decents in to sillyness all of the posts can be moved to a centralised thread... I also thought this could be a way of concentrating man utd/liverpool hate to one thread

Thoughts? (I'd like utd fans thoughts on this too)
