Simple intel gathering exercises by TU-95's over the Balkans, they have to use a loop, sometimes air traffic needs them to divert and our ATC aren't informed (as they don't enter our air space) so we scramble interceptors. It looks provocative, but they probably like that. They don't legally need to inform the UK, so why the **** should they? If they were a threat I'd imagine they'd get nowhere near Cornwall.
