I'm with Tom on this one ......... Reckon we should just get behind OUR players and treat the others with the disdain they deserve. Nothing like whipping the other team up by booing and heckling and getting them to bounce us 1-0 with a breakaway goal after we've had nearly all the possession!! I'm actually worried about this one - all the teams we've played at St Marys recently have packed men behind the ball and gone for catching us on the break. Pool have 2 seriously quick players in Coutinho and Sterling and I'm sure Brenda will be telling his players to do just that. Vic and Morgan will need to stand firm and our forwards need to start scoring - here's hoping Graziano bullies their CBs (and the ref doesn't blow every time he goes up for a header, like some recently) and our quickies feed off the flicks. COYS!!!!
Let us see now. Lallana's departure opened the door to Fonte becoming captain. Lovren's departure led to the signing of Toby which was just brilliant. Far from hating them I am rather pleased they pissed off. So I would like to say thanks to both of them. We are better and stronger without them. PS I hate the booing of players so all you will hear from me on Sunday is the cheering on of our lads and telling the thick bastards who sit behind me to get off Pelle's back. I am so pissed off with them that I have a suspicion that the stewards may be forced to eject me. So on Sunday you might see a little grey bearded old man sandwiched between two burly stewards waving his walking stick in the air as he gets thrown out of the stadium. If you do just spare a moment to help me to my feet and dust me down.
The main thing on Sunday is winning....save most of your breath for cheering Saints. This game is so important, I hope Lallana is injured so he won't be a distraction.
And if you see a rather gorgeous, suave and debonair middle-aged hunk being escorted out of the Northam it'll be me. For the same reason. Vin
I'm doing what I always do. Ignore the poor sods not lucky enough to play for Saints and scream myself stupid for every player in stripes. My missus enjoys the 48 hour quiet after a game! As for the Lallana, the interview shows that the penny is finally dropping.
Spider was training today http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150219-training-gallery-pre-liverpool-2281241.aspx
235 Appearances 48 Goals 2 Promotions 1 Cup No chance I'd be booing him if I was there. Complete indifference, yes. Excessive love shown to Rickie, naturally. But Lallana - football wise - was a bit of a legend for us. I still love watching him play. And we all know how it works for ****'s sake, come on, we sing abuse at him, he will score an 89th minute winner.
"!And we all know how it works for ****'s sake, come on, we sing abuse at him, he will score an 89th minute winner." If he starts there's no way he'll be on the pitch by then
Interesting to see Will Wood training with the first team, could be a backup LB if Targett is deemed unfit?
Just hope this doens't go like the QPR game a couple of seasons ago - more focus on Harry Redknapp than supporting the team and we lost the game.
