Apparently, this game might not go ahead tonight, as Parma don't have enough cash to pay for the stewarding and have been threatened with having the electricity turned off due to unpaid bills.

It's hard to believe that the club who finished 6th in Serie A last season, can't afford it's leccy bill.

Exercise bikes, club apprentices, step up transformer, 3 phase cable.

    It's not rocket science.

Bloody hell Parma have gone down hill.

In the 90s they had the likes of Cannavaro, Buffon, Dino Baggio, Thuram, Veron, Asprilla playing for them.

Yeah they're fooked. Already had points deducted due to non payment of wages, are bottom of the league with 3 wins all season, including 3-0 against Inter, naturally, some players, including Cassano, have rescinded their contracts and walked out and are now facing another 5 point deduction. Wages apparently cleared through the banks yesterday but even if they stay afloat they're almost certainly going down to Serie B.

You missed Crespo, who was amazing there. During the glory years they were bankrolled by massive food company Parmalat but since they struggled the football team have too.

Careful mentioning Parmalat. You'll get people talking about Italian corruption/fraud again.

There used to be a TV show called Chef and in one episode the restaurant owner was looking for a new chef. His wife suggested he promote his sous-chef and he replied that the guy was so stupid he thought tortellini was a central defender for Lazio. I see he's in the Parma line up but still a central defender

No wonder they've got cash problems if they've got to pay Lecce's bill as well....

I feel sorry for them in their current predicament.

I wonder how high the charges were?

Still one of the best headlines ever after a rather feisty match at the ****dorf Stadium where they play - "Young Boys in ****dorf storm".
