Headline in The Sun today: 'City toff in Chelsea racist storm' It then goes on to name him and state where he lives, banging on about the abuse, it then turns out he had nothing to do with it and they just want him as a witness. Poor lad, talk about wrong place at the wrong time.
Once identified The Met will apply to the courts for those involved to receive football banning orders. The French authorities can't do that. A banning order normally follows a conviction but in this case either The Met or the CPS will make a complaint to the courts. Anyone defending these arsewipes needs to have a long, hard look at themselves.
Personally I don't think a trial in court is enough, the evidence is already there, they should be buried to their necks in sand and pelted with rocks. Everyone on the train. They may not all have joined in but none tried to stop it. Our law is too soft.
Appeasement, I think that's the correct word. I don't believe anyone would be daft enough to try and actually defend those clowns or criticise any action taken against them.
I havent seen any appeasement of those who are guilty either. How do you know nobody tried to stop it? There couldve been allsorts said on that train that we didnt hear, or someone inside the train might have stepped forward and tried to intervene but was pushed back. We cant possibly tell what happened inside the train from the only footage we have seen. Look, I dont want to sound like I'm defending those who did wrong but the way some are talking every single person who just happened to be standing in a carriage near some absolute scum should be treated the same as those who are guilty.
It's not all that bad, they could have beaten him, they could have beheaded him, they could have whipped him in public, they just stopped him getting on a packed train. They could have sang anything, they could have dropped the n bomb, or hurled some other racial slurs, but they didn't speak a single one. Probably, whether a man was black, white, yellow or blue they would have blocked him from getting into the already overflowed by carriage, the bloke just turned out to be black and they sang "we're racist". At no point is there any actual racism. Mountains out of molehills. This is all just so ****ing stupid. What kind of clown would try and force his way on to a train brimming to almost bursting point with foreign football fans anyway? ****ing dimwits all around.
I was on the last Tube out of London after the FA Cup Final and stuck in a carriage with a mob of drunken Arsenal fans who were all half my age. The abuse I received because I was wearing a Hull City shirt was far worse then shown on this little clip. But I stood my ground, gave some back, and told them nose to nose how brave I thought they all were.
The 'abuse' might have been more vocal, but when ones for supporting a football team and ones for the colour of your skin then their really not in the same league.
Plenty of toadying excusism floating about if you look. It's not racist, just an ironic chant in support of John Terry. The bloke just didn't realise that. They thought he was a PSG supporter. It was for his own safely. The train was too full. He was aggressively trying to force his way on. It's only football banter FFS. Grow a pair you touchy frogs. Other self-justifying, wrongheaded excuses are no doubt available.
What, with the high quality rational debating standards on which this site has built it's reputation? Perish the thought.
that's the spirit - and lets do the same to the whole team for still playing with Sagbo and to Brucie for picking him and all the supporters who still say nothing - no-one came out and expressed their contempt and disgust
They've apparently identified one of them. According to the papers, the kid they identified is a privately educated rich yuppie type, who makes all his money in the City(of London). That's his career down the pisser. Hope he's got a good lawyer.
They're not meant to, same as Catholics arent supposed to have sex before marriage or use contraception... Need to end this now or the mods will declare it a religious thread.
