    Agree with the general sentiments on here, i.e. that we have to attack teams, rather than set up not to lose.

    Win 1; lose 1 = 3 pts. Draw 2 = 2 pts. It's all in the sums, Gus. You monkey-faced twat.

    I agree but he needed to be cleverer and more gradual. Get rid of one at a time, don't piss them all off.

    http://metro.co.uk/2015/02/17/booki...d-moyes-and-slaven-bilic-speculation-5067379/

    "Bookies have slashed the odds on Sam Allardyce leaving West Ham after a flood of money was placed on Big Sam being the next Premier League manager to leave his job.

    The former Bolton boss’s odds were cut from 25-1 to 6-1 after punters reacted to comments made by Hammers co-owner David Sullivan."

    Surprised myself by voting to sack now!

    Probably persuaded by another thread showing that GP hasn't moved on or natured managerially since his time at Brighton.

    I don't see the point in waiting until the end of the season. That would be like shutting the barn door after the horse's bolted.

    It's difficult to KTF with a manager who hasn't kept the faith with the supporters.

    Just who does this non-achieving manager think he is?

    I just think there will be better managers available at the end of the season.

    That thread on his problems at Brighton shifted me firmly into the he needs sacking camp.

    Interesting to see the biggest group are behind him and believe in his "philosophy" and want it to be invested in.

    He hasn't changed and had the time to do so, burned his bridges with the fans before hes left, sounded like he was asking for the board to give him the push esp after Bradford.

    You shouldnt stick by someone who is failing just because there is no obvious successor available (though there is always someone available). I'd prefer 10 managers over the next season for example until the right one was found than hope in vain that someone who has shown to not fit the bill will turn in around.

    For me its a question of end of the season, or during.

    I agree the sentiment Indy but not the get rid and anybody in idea. I`d much rather Short set his sights higher and got the right bloke in. Even if it means prising him away and paying compo.

    Stop gaps aint gonna work imo.

    Saturday = Make or Break

    An early goal FOR... The fans will lift the team
    An early goal AGAINST... It's gonna be 'nasty' for all concerned :emoticon-0130-devil

    I really hope that the fans lift the the team from the off (I am confident that they will),scoring a goal for in the first 20 mins will create a fantastic atmosphere and will spur us on further.Will it be nervy,probably,however the crowd will respond (as always) with a positive start.It is over to Gus Poyet to go for it and inspire the team.We are not playing against a top six side but are up against a side in good form but surely beatable at home,if the approach is right.Please,please get it right

    Keep Him, We have to stop changing managers every season or other season. We also have to realise we are amongst 8 possibly 10 similar clubs in the Premiership of all could be in this position (granted last 2 games have been very weak - Needs Catts to give some bite back).
    1) If we sack him now still no guarantee of survival with a change.
    2) Sack him at the end of the season we are back to square one with a big upheaval of staff and players;
    3) Whatever happens keep him to get some consistency, I would only sack him if his position became Untenable due to no team spirit and continual poor performances, loss of the supporters
    4) Send him on a course on how to speak to the media :) http://www.ncte.org/action/speak-media
    Anyway just my humble opinion.
    If I'm honest i don't really know what's best as this has been the same story all my life with few exceptions, having supported the lads for over 40 years.

    I'd rather have consistency with good performances on the pitch then getting relegated to a ****e manager and costing us 80m just to gain consistency on a managerial recruitment sheet. I don't like chopping and changing either but sometimes it necessary, we shouldn't just refuse to sack anybody no matter what they do, people will start taking liberties imo
