I think he's done well by bringing in good championship standard players. I'm not going to make predictions for promotion candidates just yet, until i've seen most of the teams going. I certainly didn't think Swansea would go up last season when they came to the KC on opening day.

With a bid of 4M accepted for Matt Mills and a bid of around 4-5M expected to go in for Nicky Maynard, we do have alot of money to spent. If we spend say 15M now and get promoted at the end of the season we will get that 15M back about 7 or 8 times

That does ruin the pub quiz question then, although having had two players to have played with their names on the front and back of their shirts in a stadium bearing their name is quite unusual.

Sounds quite apt if you say it with a southern accent. One King Power Stadium there's only one king power stadium.

Or in a Norfolk twang, Let's hear it fer King Power Stadium.

I like the sound of the KC - Circle sounds ultra boring.

Everyone knows our stadium as the KC and I personally would hate it if we had to follow a similar path as that of Leicester and the likes of Hudders and Bratford (God they've had so many name changes I've gone dizzy) before them.

Leicester have had a £5m bid for Matt Mills accepted by Reading. He's a big, strong defender but that's a shedload of money for him. At least £2m over the odds, I reckon.

Championship clubs spending £5m on a single player is completely bonkers, I hope it all goes tits up and serves as an example of how not to run a Championship football club.

Thats a good one mate. Not sure it will be that easy. Mid table is best Leicester can expect with your team mate.

Matt Mills will stay @ Reading unless a PL team comes in which is very possible. Maynard to Southampton or Forest
but why worry as he aint that good anyway.

As for your stadium name change ? CRAZY. I remember Filbert Street. The walker srtadium was a good name for a new ground. But King Power ? Ive already read some of your fans are calling it THE KING PRAWN STADIUM. LOL

It wont be long before other stadiums ends up with names like DIRK DIGGLER DONE or BRIAN PUMPER PLAZA.

Visiting fans will have a field day with the new name mate., Good lucky this season. You will need it.

Good timing, you posted that just as Reading confirmed they had accepted the Leicester bid.

Oh dear. But Matt Mills has to agree to move first. They thought they had C M S in the bag on friday ?

I reckon a PL team will hijack the deal. Why should Mills rush to go to Leicester.? lol The window is open for almost 2 months yet ? Would you rush to Leicester ? We shall see.

Stoke and Wolves are still rumoured to be interested, so there's half a chance the deal could still get hijacked.

Thanks for the concern Hull fans, but many of our fans couldn't give a toss about the stadium name. Our spiritual home will always be at Filbert Street. The Walkers/King Power is simply the arena we play football in, and we're all grateful to have it as our club could not progress at Filbo. But it isn't our 'home' yet, and won't be for 20 or 30 years.

Generally speaking, I think most of our fans concede that, for all the money King Power is investing into us, a stadium being named after them is a small sacrifice. I'd rather be playing in the King Power Stadium in the Premier League than the Walkers Stadium in the Championship.

Also, I'd like to think that maybe we're just trying to emulate yourselves. Your stadium is called the KC, ours will be called the KP.....you have all our reserve players, we almost share your stadium name, fair deal! <ok>

    (Just kidding btw....)

Thanks for your reserves. BTW, they are better than the replacements. With the players Sven is wasting money on you shall be watching championship football at the KP for years to come. Money dont buy success. But it can easily be wasted. Something that Sven is very good at. Good luck though as you shall need it. lol
