If that was the case perhaps they were going to sell to balance it out, there were rumours that Wilson was on the market .

Yep, and I would also say that, from a quick glance at their remaining fixtures (though obviously you can't factor in "relegation fight inspiration" yet) that Bournemouth have all-round the easiest set of fixtures (other than perhaps us if we get through our next three games with 5-9 points). I think they are likeliest to be in the top 2 come the end of the season, on balance.

Agree Rob, though I still think Derby look decent. I think whoever finishes above Derby (if anyone) will win the league.

Definitely. Missed this when I wrote my post above. We have hit form at the most fortunate time for this tough patch, but we could really do with a bare minimum of 5 points from these three matches, get 7 and I will be delighted.

After that, apart from the big matches against Derby and 'Boro, you have to say the only way we won't finish strongly is if we shoot ourselves in the foot (which is far from beyond the realms of possibility...)

I'm not sure we can afford to lose any of them, apart from maybe Blackburn if we win at Watford.

It's 3 points and counting so far...

Strange, Im sure I had the conversation last week about another club being jealous of another and got shouted down for not having facts???????????????????

I really like some of their players, Wilson, Richie and Pugh are destined for great things, its just Eddie How, has the face you want to smack with an iron bar!

No doubt they wiggle and wriggle to get past some of the rules, but so are Ipswich. They make a loss of around £7m which is borderline failing.

Sorry Supers but we are fully compliant with FFP rules and the trend is set to continue as we have slashed our wage bill over the past couple of years, There is no such thing as a 'borderline fail' you either are or your not!

It just goes to show how close it all is. One match week set of results completely changes how everything looks (evidenced by our forum swinging from despair to celebration and back with frustrating regularity, as the Binners are so quick to point out).

My view of Derby is that their next five games are really key, like us, but for completely different reasons. They are in poor(ish) form, they are missing probably their key player in Chrissy Martin and yet they have five of probably (on paper) their easiest games of the season coming up. They simply have to score big now, because the four games after that are like the period we are in now. 12-15 points from these five games will mean that Derby can look at the four crunch matches with a view that they just need to keep the scoreboard ticking over, draws will do. If they let other teams catch them over these next five games then the pressure will be ramped up to breaking point.

When is Martin due back? Anyone know?

Sorry. It's because you're usually the target of the joke.

JWM - what was it that you disagreed with me about Ipswich having the toughest set of fixtures?

There is no jealousy with QPR , we are not complaining about lack of signings or money spent , they blatantly ignored the fair play rules and have a strange misplaced arrogance.

That's not what I said. I don't think Wolves are going to catch you. But I think they might. I think they might make it to the top six.

More specifically, I said I thought that if anyone out of the current top six is caught by Wolves, I thought it would be most likely Ipswich. That is very different. And purely based on your tough fixtures. I still think it's unlikely that the top six will change from here, though, but you Binners need a consistent March to be safe. Get that and you'll be absolutely fine I've little doubt.

But is not the cut off point just over £7m? Your owner is still the only one keeping your club afloat by pumping in just enough money that you pass whilst increasing your debt to him. Or have the rules changed again? I know there were some new rules which relaxed the previous ones about a year ago but don't really know them too well. Even so, the point still stands. And your wage bill according to your last set of accounts was hardly 'slashed' - I think you still spent nearly £15m (which your club doesn't have as your 'wages to income' is still more than 100% according to 2013-14 figures). So as admirable it is that your club is FINALLY starting to try and do things properly, I find the berating of Bournemouth a little pathetic.

You seem to be using lawyer doublespeak Rob "I don't think that Wolves will catch you .But I think they might"
If anyone from the top 6 is caught by Wolves it would most likely be Ipswich ?
