He's no lacking in confidence. It's entirely misplaced confidence but he has an over-abundance of it.

I don't believe you as you have proven to be very ignorant on the subject of gambling. You don't even know the odds of a Roulette wheel, yet you expect me to believe you where paid 30k a year to work in a casino in 1997. Being a card dealer is a dead end job, it's not a 30k a year job even these days never mind back in 1997.

You have not got under my skin whatsoever I'm having just as much fun as you are pretending to have. In fact judging by all the abuse you have thrown in my direction, it seems it is me who has got under your skin. I'm not the one who is seemingly loosing his cool.

My guess is that you worked at a casino in some capacity, more likely as the cleaner or as a bar man. Anyone who is involved in the actual gambling would know the odds of the most popular casino game:biggrin:

Give me some kudos Eddie I tipped a lot of winners to my army of followers. It wasn't just a running joke, there where loads who followed my selections. Fair enough my threads where always full of humour, but I delivered more often than not with my selections.

You did pretty well with your selections too to be fair, there where quite a few good tipsters back then on 606

Did Eddie have an army of followers too? If so, whose army was the toughest? King Shergar probably trained his in MMA at his training camp in Armagh, but Eddie's would have been pure mental jakey neds with knives and that.

You joined the wrong army, Dev. If you'd have signed up with The King you'd be wadded and harder than Bruce Lee now.

If I upload a wage Slip from Grosvenor and my Personal functioning license to prove to some self proclaimed King of gamblers on the Internet would I receive KUDOS ?<laugh>

I don't have anything to prove to the people on here I'm not proud to have worked in this Industry it's not that special .
You keep banging on about me saying a gambler playing the wheel get's 35/1 plus the stake so in real tems if you were dumb enough to play every number at say £1 a number it would cost £37 and the house would only take £1 a spin ,unless it was a double 0 table .
It's not that complicated and you tried to somehow use this in every post as some kind of "win and still claim I don't understand fractional odds.

Most decent punters call neighbour and French bets looking to smash a certain section of the 3 divides and the smart ones hit a few good numbers ,press for the next spin and play with the house's money , when they hit a personal target they cash out and leave.
The buzz they get in most cases makes it hard to stop and most end up returning and giving it all back.

The smart players or potential money launderers ,play Punto as it's basically a coin toss but they beleive in runs and patterns and tend to beat the house consistantly, that's why most casinos set a Max limit of £5k ,much less in the provinces and in Mayfair some punters are given a facility to bet millions ,as they can offset losses against other high rollers.
Players restricted to lower maximums still try to collude and bank roll others to follow their play in order to get round this.
It is quite hard to stop as an Inspector.

6 deck blackjack with a hand shuffle is quite skillful and even I can do quite well if I am patient and roughly count cards ,using basic play knowledge splitting ony 8s and Aces doubling only 10 and 11 and not hitting if the dealer has a 6 to 2 showing.
Always hitting 16 if the dealer has 7 or higher ,pressing towards the end of a shoe but you can still get ****ed by a lucky croup even if you know that there are loads of 10's left, he may keep getting them.
Casinos have introduced shuffle master machines to stop this and added loads of stupid side bets like perfect pair and plus 3 where you can get 9/1 for 3 card poker hands or 5 10 or 30/1 for pairs, but these are stacked very heavily for the house.
You may call them "mug bets" but some lucky players do very well very quickly .
I don't know why I'm bothering to mention this I find the whole thing quite boring now even thinking about it.

In London £30k a year is not a good wage even with pooled tips each month ,in my last place Aspers average £300 on top of my salary .
I have friends that work at Ritz & Aspinall's who have had over £10k tips some months from Arab big shots ,but as you say it's a dead end job to a pro gambler like yourself who doesn't lose ,yet you are too stupid to even formulate a plan with your army of followers to even place a ****ing bet because "the bookies fear you"?

You clearly don't see the hilarity in your claims Sugar .

You seem intent on trying to make the posters on GC beleive you are some sort of Jesus figure that never loses and bookies fear, when we all know that by grassing us up to the Scousers you are in fact Judas.
The difference is we don't forgive .

Has the penny dropped yet with King Sugar that grassing up GC posters and trying to bring heat on us is not a good way of making friends and influencing people on here?.
The guy is a grade A **** and I will make it my duty to make sure he is not welcome.<grr>

    Happy Chinese New year <cheers>.

Well that is how casinos make there money on roulette, by relying on that £1 profit for every £37 staked, a 2.8% profit margin. Obviously some days it can be more or less but over a long period of time they are guaranteed 2.8% profit on all turnover. Its simple mathematics.

Finally though you have actually displayed some knowledge of gambling in a casino, I'm not going to pretend I know anything about the games your referring to, as casino betting is not my thing. I am only interested in sports betting. There is no such thing as a pro who makes his living in a casino.

I have never said I never lose, what I have said is that I always win in the long run. Hence the reason betting company's close down my accounts. Whatever way you want to dress it up, the bookies clearly do fear me, or they wouldn't feel the need to restrict me and close down my accounts. I get the same problem when I go in the shops. Today I tried to get £1000 EW on a horse for Saturday in Ladbrokes and they restricted me to only £200 EW, I then went to another Ladbrokes to try to get another £200 EW on, and the staff informed me that I'd already had 200 EW in another shop, so they wouldn't let me have anymore. This is why I can't rely on it anymore as I can't get enough money on to earn a living.

I'm not sure you can call me Judas either, as Judas betrayed his own people. Please do not imply that I was once one of you lot.
