Apparently he was auditioning for a voice over for a kids cartoon series (something about a stone I think. See if I can find it and come back to you). Anyway, they asked him to do a maniacal laughter. He started and they went off and forgot about him. Five minutes later they came back and he was still cackling.

    Crazy funny man.

Bollox to that. Look for something a bit more (s)permanent.

(The kids cartoon series I was trying to think of was The Dreamstone. Found quite a few Mayall voice parts while I was searching. Didn`t realise he`d done so many.)

Caught their final tour in Nottingham mate, I was absolutely howling at them. When I bought the DVD later it was as if I'd never seen it, I'm certain they just made up a new script every time ad-lib and just messed around with a very loose plot.

Ade said on one of his shows about cooking and that, he sat down with Rik to discuss a few things including another tour and within 30 seconds Rik was talking about frying pans, it was at that point that he knew revisiting Bottom would be silly, I completely agree, although I was disappointed.
