If you are so against what we believe in then why not move over there to follow the idiotic calling to take people's lives just because they don't follow a certain religion. Perhaps when you are knee deep in blood after hacking people's heads off, you will sit back and ask yourself why ever would such an all consuming and powerful God actually require help to sort out 'nonbelievers' The extremist Muslim world wants women banned from public life, want young girls shot if they try to educate themselves and want all to bow to their religion. They are nazi's in turbans and surely something to stand up too. We in the West DO have democracy and we DO have compassion, isis terrorists have nothing but evil in their shrivelled hearts Anyway Mr 'well known member' if you have such extreme views, WTF do you support a team such as the 'Royal arsenal' with all its history (aka the gunners) and with the huge amount of corporate money that now goes into that football club?
I am in DUBAI for ****s sakes....And tell me what do I don't believe in that you do? Bombing-invading other countries? So you believe in that? and you're an oxymoron, you say you have democracy, but assuming I was in the west as you did, you're telling me why don't I leave, huh? So just because I have a different opinion you're asking me to leave? LOL so much for your ****ing 'democracy', you only tout words of 'democracy' 'freedom' from your ass, as soon as someone doesn't sing your tune or beliefs, you start sounding like a fascist, OH LEAVE THE COUNTRY BLA BLA BLA. As for Arsenal, football and politics are two different issues as you know, you don't mix the two together....And just for the record, a lot of that 'corporate' money comes form the Middle East, after all the Middle East owns the naming rights to the stadium, and is the main official sponsor. . Anyways I didn't know I had to support illegal invasions, bombing-intefering in other countries to support a football team, lol because I'm sure EVERY football fan and player supports those things.
As for ISIS, yes **** them too, they are savage-extremists, but that don't change the fact that they exist because of the invasion in Iraq, which allowed them to gain a foothold, and it also don't change the fact that western government have done a lot of bad things too. I can gladly say **** ISIS and call them out on their wrongs, but you guys, you can't do that, you can only say **** ISIS, but don't want to say **** the bad things we have done as well, nahhh just ignore it or try to justify it.
I'm the last one to claim any sense of the high moral ground. Maybe I just appreciate an understanding that in life, in politics, there never is a starting point for most events, just a sequence of events that can end in nothing, or chaos.
Well the solution is simple, let everybody stop interfering with each other, and let sovereign nations deal for themselves? i think that's fair, and a starting point everybody can agree with. Everyone can have trade-tourism, the whole shebang, the only thing is everybody respect each other as in respect the other persons ways-norms in their country and vice versa, and then everybody is happy.
Well that too, but that's another topic, ;-). Not on this board, but before ISIS became what they are now, I was saying eventually down the road they'd be used as the excuse of OH LOOK TERRORISM IS BACK BADDER THAN EVER, giving the establishment the excuse to start **** up again, while previously they were all about hey Syria-freedom we gotta help the rebels etc etc.
By the way I am hoping the Chilcot enquiry starts pointing fingers at the likes of Blair, democracy has allowed us an enquiry! But Oh, Please PLEASE stay in Dubiai, that well known place of freedom and understanding (not) with corporate greed, racism, slavery and suppression. probably will taken by Isis in the months and years to come. Wonder where you'll run to then?
If only solutions were that simple. Let 2 million starve to death in 85 in Ethiopia. Or sell millions of records, raise millions and feed them. Do nothing and 850,000 die in Rwanda, live on TV. Raise millions after 70,000 die in an earthquake in Pakistan. For a body politic many of whom knowingly harboured Bin Laden. Spend billions with countries with hideous human rights histories. Life is never that simple Arsenal. I wish it was. It's not.
When people say stuff like 'The fact is' then go on to give their opinion. **** sake Arsenal mate, you're arguing on a football forum as if it's some kind of relevant platform. Shut the **** up, hasn't Dubai got something you can do to pass the time? I'm sure they sell rope somewhere.
You may think in Dubai, the west is crapping itself in anguish over Isis. It's not. We are more concerned about the Cold War warming up in Ukraine; about Greece ****ting on its debt (or not, depending on your politics); of inflation at 0.3%, about an election in 3 months. About relegation.
Some of the things you mention, if not most, there's no problem to help. I'm not saying we all become isolationists and not help each other, helping each other though is different than then trying to get involved and shape most of the country as to how you see it....Yes if a country is killing 850,000 of it's own people, then sure you can get involved and stop that, but then after you do that, let the people themselves take charge and wipe your hands clean, you did your part, you got rid of the baddy, now let the people take the reigns etc. There should be more cooperation between countries, that's not a bad thing, but cooperation is different than all out interference.
TBH i don't think most westerners are ****ting themselves at the prospect of ISIS, maybe they are in America Americans always like to get panicked.
That's true, Dubai, or the UAE isn't a democracy, but hey, it works, their citizens are very happy, well looked after, and the country is very stable and peaceful, it sure doesn't have some of the same problems many democratic nations have. Just because a country isn't a democracy, doesn't suddenly make it all bad. And plus at the end of the day what good is democracy if the government is still not properly looking after you? Like in the UK and the US? How many people in the UK are going without heat because they can't afford it? But hey UK is a democracy and they can vote, hurra! I'm sure if you gave most people the option of A) Having a stable life and being looked after while not being able to choose you leader or B) being able to choose your leader and as for your life well who knows it might be good, but it most likely will be a struggle, they'd choose A all day. All everybody wants is a decent life, to put food on the table, have a good job, have a nice safe city-town to live in with everybody getting along, and if a country can provide that, which the UAE does, then hey more power....That's not to say it's PERFECT, you can point out the deficiencies too.
Evidently you care, way too much. Good bunch this lot who you can chat with about most things if you go about it the right way, they'll hound you out though if you wade in like you have. A little humility maybe.
Ah yes. We did that in Iraq. Then in Libya. I wonder how that worked out. Who decides when to, or when not to, get involved. It always looks so simple beforehand. You apparently live in a co-operative utopian world mate. Wish I did too. I wouldn't avoid the news headlines as much as I do.
