The 1st divisions most prolific striker, did we give him a fair go.Started 3 games played quite well at millwall where we lost and the next 2 games which we won.We played him in midfield,Crewe play him as a striker, his best position.I think this lad will come good, better than sharp IMO taken Crewe from bottom to 5 points from play-offs I hope we give him another fair go.
I would have said glad he has gone but I do feel we should give him another chance, it isn't going to happen under Redfearn though. When we signed him I am sure I read he was a striker who could play out wide?
As I told Chippy he fluffed a great chance in the 3 minute against Boro he will not make it at ER good at a small club but not for us I stand by that
How are you classifying him as 1st division's most prolific striker out of interest? I do actually think he's better than a lot of the players currently still here, I do think he should get a chance but I highly doubt he'll ever really get a chance as a striker at the club
I would assume so, I wasn't being rude (although reading back it could be taken that way). Was just interested in the stats.
Without doubt deserves a second chance with Leeds. I thought he looked very lively few times I saw him .
If you are going by goals to games ratio, his 7 goals have come in 956 minutes of football or a goal every 136 minutes - therefore that would make him the 2nd most prolific in the league behind John Marquis whose 5 goals have been cored in 609 minutes of football or a goal every 126
Nicky Ajose has played 12 games for Crewe in league 1 and scored 8.A player who scores 1 in 1 game would have a better goals to mins ratio so I only counted players who played at least 10 games so as not to include fly by nights.
Not sure how Ajose would go with us now in championship, but if he helps Cewe get promoted, and they buy him, then it'll be interesting to see what he does next season
Think you need to take a look at the table - I don't think promotion is on the cards for them! Especially not with that -20 goal difference in such a tight division
look again m8 5points off play-offsl look again m8 5 points off play-offs and the form team with 22 out of last 30points.
Gillingham are the form team - 16 points from 18 since Marquis joined them - only 2 points off play-offs after they just beat MK Dons 4-2 just two weeks after MK thrashed Crewe 5-0!!
You're an argumentative fooker TC,do you mean the same Gillingham that Ajose scored against in a 3-1 win while Marquis was playing.
I see Ajose failed to score tonight - and Crewe didn't get any points - was that the Cheshire kiss of death again
