Your favourite 80's song? Here's mine, absolutely love this, ignore the early 30 second ad or whatever and enjoy..

Good shout and yours is the sound of the 80's but the best album of the 80's and perhaps of all time for me is...

My immediate thoughts are modern love by Bowie or Born to run (the live version) by Springsteen.

The Live Set on Vintage TV channel 369 right now.

There's some great music on 369. Every so often, a song comes on that takes you right back to a particular day or night, holiday....

    Bollocks, Elton John!

Up there for me along with Ceremony and Blue Monday by New Order.

Honourable mentions to Kinky Afro and Step on by the Mondays.

I turned up for work at Rock City Nottingham , one night, and there was a band on I'd never heard of.
I had some 'pre-match' scran with them, played some pool and went to work.

They came on stage and were absolutely incredible.

Bear in mind that I saw dozens of massive groups during 10 years from U2 to Oasis and Pearl Jam to Faith No More.
I didn't even like 'heavy metal/garage/hard core stuff but this was irresistible

Springsteen at Wembley (89?) Rained all day. He walked out at 10 past 6. The clouds cleared like he was the messiah! At 10:15 he walked off stage! Just a 15 minute break in between, but the band stayed on stage all 4 hours! Awesome!

Fleetwood Mac, same year. Stevie Nicks sang to me personally! Yes she ****ing did, well as I remember it.

Richie Sambora strumming a guitar in Covent Garden.

Tanita Tikaram at an Irish club in Harlesden.

Acker Bilk, I think at the Tuffnell Park Tavern.

Great memories of the 80's in London.
