I do not doubt for 1 minute that Moyez would have more points on the board had he spent that money in the summer and the players not stabbed him in the back. You could see the difference under Giggs first game solo where the players atually tried, and then reality set in, that Giggs didn't know what he was doing.

MoyeZ beat Barca with his lowly team, I doubt vG could pull it off with yoonited, I reckon Barca would ****ing maul you lot. Smalling and co v Suarez Neymar and Messi? <laugh>

Who knows what Moyes could have achieved with £150m, he could have been the next Fergie but was never given the chance :(

Rooney is the last bastian of honesty and decency left in the game. You forget just how much he gives to charity, how much he has changed the lives of the impoverished and the young. Think of the loss to all those little children if he hadnt avoided that clear leg breaker last night. You do know that travelling at that speed, the shift in momentum caused by that reckless goalie's callous attempt to hack Rooney down, could have resulted in multiple fractures to the phibia, tibia and namibia. I applaud his bravery tbh.

The trouble was Moyes took over when we were already champions. Had he taken over mid-season while in a relegation fight I would agree with you, we would win the league. He is that good <ok>

Is this the same Rooney that was forced to apologise by Fergie for diving? <laugh>

You're ****ing hilarious. Rooney avoids the keeper without even trying and then drags his foot and goes down. He was past the keeper when he went down baahahahahaha you're a real joker

Well people were claiming that one was essential for his last couple of seasons, but from what I recall, in his last season he didnt do too badly, guess he knew better.

    This summer was enitrely different.......

Fergie was just building great character. The same great character we saw last night. I think you'll find that all true England fans (not you, you heathen) are grateful Rooney avoided serious injury last night, if we are to to have any chance of winning Euro16 <ok>

Not in his first season he wouldn't.

    And that's it really.

Had Ferguson bought the players that van Gaal has and added them to HIS squad which had won the league the season before last then yes, chances are he'd win the league.

If he'd just walked through the door and was largely working with someone else's squad and someone else's set up then no, he wouldn't.

Sometimes things aren't just black or white Matth.

Exactly! Had Moyes been given more than 40 odd games, he too could have got Fellaini playing like the worldie he is. Wiki (the cornerstone of accurate reporting) now value him at £75m. I say we sell him to liverpool in the summer. But that may go against club policy tbh. How about we sell him to Southampton and then you buy him off them like the rest of your squad

I knew that Moyes was not that bad a manager really. <whistle> Not great but not as bad as painted by some of our friends here. Certainly better than Brenda. Moyes was certainly right in buying us World beaters like Mata and Fellaini.

Back to the OP. SAF COULD have won the title with this squad. He has won with lesser players hasn't he? The players he left were not as good as many thought they were. Fergie had a 25+ years knowledge of the premiershhip as an advantage over LVG.

If LVG is still with United next season I'll bet that he'll win the title :bandit:

Forgot about Gerrard saying he would have words with his team-mates if he saw them diving then.

    Really?
From what I hear he has been pretty ineffectual of late, after a decent start mind, but still...

Teams copped on that if you don't give Dobby vast swathes of pitch to run free in he is a lot less effective.
