With Robbo & Brady seemingly nailed on to cover LB/LWB it seems thes 2 are done with Hull City. Dudge reminds me of Wayne Jacobs. I expect to see him eventually end up playing regularly in the PL, but not with us. Townsend is a player who seems to be in no mans land, can't get in our first team & a season loan cut short when he seemed to be doing well. Do either have a future with us? When I see Townsend was on a season loan to Dundee Utd, how is it possible they can cut it short? We had to find Danny Graham team after we cut his loan short last season. Or did they just pay him off?
Townsend's loan was cut short because Dundee Utd didnt think they would be able to buy him from us at the end of the season. They went and bought a player for Townsends position and thats why he came back to us. By all accounts from what I read online and their forums they really thought that Townsend was a quality player. From what I gather Townsend will be a squad player for us next year so he definitely has a future with us. On the opposite side of the coin I doubt that Dudge has a future with us and I would be surprised if he ever featured for us again.
Nah dudge will be our first choice left back last season and this season, everyone said it, so it's safe to assume he'll be our first choice left back next season anarl.
I guess you can't just pay people to be cover forever but I think it's a real pity that the opportunities never came Dudgeon's way after his recovery. Still, it's only speculation at the moment, so who knows!?
Both players hopefully will go out on loan to finish the season. Both to championship clubs maybe ? Blackpool and Wigan for sure need better defenders than what they have now. Both have a future with us IMO and are quality. Dudge needs to prove his fitness more than his talent. He needs to be signed up again and loaned out next season but only to a championship club. Townsend most certainly IMO will replace Figueroa in our squad from next season.. Best of all they are our players already.
