Absolutely spot on!! McDonalds breakfasts are great! Muffins and pancakes are good. After 10:30 I lose all interest, their entire lunch time menu sucks balls. Never heard of Uncle Sams, is it a franchise or a stand alone, family owned sorta thing?
See my post above about getting the best burger I've ever had (from McDonalds) last Friday; it actually looked like the picture and the salad was fresh. I went through the drive through!
I have been utterly put off mcdonalds breakfasts due to stop off i did on a drive where i got what i'd call the most disgusting thing ever served to me anywhere at any time.
I didnt pay for the KFC, my brother was in town so he picked me up and took me AND paid. FREE EATS!!!
Im not 100% sure. There are 2 or 3 of them near me (outskirts of brighton) but never seen them anywhere else, not even in centre of brighton so not sure where else thy are. Brilliant burgers thiugh, like most burger places, the smaller the shop you go to tend to get better quality as they can't outdo big chains on prive so use quality as a usp instead.
I was put off McDoanlds breakfast by my previous work place. I worked in a diary factory for about six months. They made the scrambled egg for McDonalds. Part of the process was putting them through the metal detectors but if the alarm went off they just based it about a bit and put it through again until it didn't beep Of course, the smell of egg all day put me off eggs completely for a while too
eugh, I used to work next to a factory that made nothing but scones and croissants all day. Didnt touch a croissant for about 3 years.
not surprised.. all food is the same.. the meat grinders can dispose of so much... overalls, rubber boots etc etc etc..
I don't class KFC or McDonalds as takeaway - it's fast food - ok you take it away with you but it's mass produced rubbish most of it. A takeaway is about cutting up fresh meat and veg. adding spices, chillies, onions ..... cooking it in fresh oil, making a sauce from scratch and serving it to you straight from the pan. Or if it's a chippy meal - using fresh cut chips, not frozen or last nights warm-ups, coating the fresh fish in fresh batter in front of you and cooking it too in fresh oil, all served crispy and delicious. French fries from KFC/Maccy D's eughhhh
One of the great takeaway treats around here is the giant pancake Rolls (spring rolls) chocca full of beansprouts, shrimp, pork, chicken etc never seen them done anywhere else.
It was the god damned smell. When I first started at the company the smell next door was nice in the morning, fresh dough. After a couple of months it became irritating as ****, just smelling bread all day.
