We won it in 2005(prior to 2009) A rule introduced in the 1968/69 season allowed the cup to become the property of any club which won the competition five times or three years in a row. That means Real Madrid CF, AFC Ajax, FC Bayern München, AC Milan and, since 2005, Liverpool FC all have an original in their trophy rooms. Under new regulations, any club which wins the trophy three consecutive times or five times in total receives a special mark of recognition, with the club then starting a new cycle from zero http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/thetrophy/
LvG talks about his needing a midfielder and talks about his creative players and balance.. His creative players, Di Maria Janujizz RvP and Falcao he says. Mata must be chuffed Surely #tacticalgenius could make good use of Mata? http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31477919
It's hilarious the way they are bending over for him. Making excuses and accepting the "long term plan" idea all of a sudden when last season it was unacceptable. They will even willfully ignore that they are part time FC with no European football and only the FA Cup to play in, and still play crab football, surely they should be destroying teams with so few games to play? Would #tacticalgenius have kept Everton in the PL all those years with the resoures MoyeZ had?
Yes, they worked that out by showing that Arsenal Liverpool City all have less points at this stage than last season Weaker teams means stronger league if you work out a solution in manc maths
It'll be so ****ing funny if we win the EL and Yoonited finish 4th. It would send UIR and chums over the edge that we relegate them to Thursday nights. But we are more than capable of a top 4 finish without all that drama.
Even if true, its irrelevant. All teams play the other nineteen home and away, how hard or easy a previous season was matters diddly squat. They said we only challenge for the title because we were a one man team that played part-time football. We'' they're a "part-time team" this season and we're told they have a few top quality players (ie, better than a one man team) yet they're no where near the title.
Nope, we'd both be in the CL. Fourth only miss out on CL if two clubs outside the top manage to win the CL (Arsenal?) and EL (Liverpool, Everton or Spurs) in the same season
I can't remember, read it last season and remember having a few discussions about it Definitely an additional place. As I said, same if someone wins the CL and finishes outside the top four now too. Only difference is if both scenarios happen in the same season. And let's be honest, the previous scenario only happened twice so its very unlikely fourth will ever miss out now.
