Possible but I don't think many people could walk away from that thread being proud. You could see from the get go Queenslander was pissed and Just wanting to let of steam. And he got very nasty very quickly. Yet every one ganged up on him and kept prodding. Rather than saying I don't want to do this. It is an internet forum. Not your living room

 

I am not defending Queenslander and he was the worse on the thread. It is not pretty watching someone who quite cleary has something to say and if he explains he points not pissed would have been right. I don't have kids Beth so I have no guilt on the legacy I leave.

 

Queens hasn't had a bevvie in over a year! Regardless of pissed he WOULDN'T have been right insinuating people are racist when he and he alone comes across as the one with issues.

 

Solutions are:

a) ignore him and let him rant on his own
b) ban him 24 hours until he has sobered up
c) dont go online pished

I did the first option after i realised he was steaming and going garrity, but if he's fronting you directly - people will respond regardless.

Lets ask the man himself when he's not had a skinful

 

Perhaps we could introduce the 'QPR Not606 Drunk Tank'...?

Honestly does it really upset you what a pissed bloke on the other side of the world says. In my opinion you should have seen that it was a lost cause and walk away.

I am not the biggest thread writer on this site. I don't come on here to pick fights. There have been many times I have been on this forum and thought why don't people just walk away. I know it is not always that easy. I have given myself many a Facebook ban. Because I have not behaved like an adult. I stand by my opinion very few on that thread can walk away feeling proud.

Simple:

EVERYBODY has it in them to be racist or not racist. That's not something specific to any race or colour.

EVERYBODY has it in them to be an idiot or not - especially online. We've all done it before and will do it again.

EVERYBODY on this site is a person at a keyboard, just like you. Doesn't take much effort to talk to them just as you want people to talk to you.

EVERYBODY says stuff they may not mean, when there doesn't seem to be any comeback.

We're all the same, boys and girls. Live with it and get on with each other.

Oh, and learn where the S, O, R, R, and Y keys are.

 

Easy for people to preach when they're not the ones being accused of something as heinous as racism.

That's true, although I know how you feel.

All I can say is that whilst I've not been a member here for that long, but from what I've seen, we are all more than capable of being both a genius and a tosser. if you're unhappy with the way people talk to you, then that's what the mods are here for - to address your concerns. Retaliating on the site just means they have to deal with the issue and also your reaction.

Ignore, respond, or report. Only one of them will get you the answer you're looking for.
