This is where I believe we stand for the new season. With spending money of around 40m from the Henderson and Bent deals, we have made a quick start by spending around 20m ( regarding that the vaughan and o'shea deals go through )

    Wickham 8m
    Gardner 5m
    Di-Wong 2m
    Brown 1m
    Larsson 0m
    Westwood 0m
    O'shea 3/4m
    Vaughan 0m

However that still leaves 20m and whilst I don't expect us to spend it all. I would definelty like to see a left winger brought into the team as at the moment we will be playing with 11 right footers, which means there will be no balance in the team.

MY HOPEFUL TEAM FOR LIVERPOOL GAME

    Westwood
    O'shea Brown Titus Bardsley

Larsson Gardner Cattermole NEW LEFT WINGER

    Sessegnon

    Gyan

    Feedback much appreciated :emoticon-0103-cool:

    Isn't Vaughan a leftie?

Not a winger by any means Cest, from what I've seen anyway. Will be pissed off if he's put there.

es but I don't think he will be starting ahead of catts and gardner. Also what I meant was, in a lot of people's teams they have bardsley lb and sess left wing, meaning that they will be cuttig inside a lot and we will have no natural width down the left.

I still think Ricco will start left back with Sess left midfield.

Brown may well be second choice, with Titus and O'shea, and Bardo right back.

id be very dissapointed if we didn't sign a left winger, however I do like the idea of playing o'shea centre back.

Westwood is a bold choice for first game of the season so it has to be Mignolet, Westwood has to earn his place

My thoughts are that he's 6ft 3 and strong in the air, and relatively comfortable on the ball, but not qiuck.

Makes CB his the logical place for him in my eyes.

O Shea will be the Steve Bould figure at the centre of defence. He will bring some calm and organisation to out defence and is a very vocal player. If Catts is out for the Liverpool game, then he is the natural choice for captain IMO.

    Top, top player IMO.

I think these signings spell the end for either turner or ferdinand to reduce the wage bill, two poor players in my eyes so i don't care which one leaves.

Especially seeing as though he is injured or has just recovered.

the-big-man.....hate the idea of one striker, then Sess behind him, although you may find some support for it..

the thing with us is we have a briliant board who back the manager if we had kept hold of Bent and Henderson we would still be spending more to improve.

With the advantage of having the added money from the Bent (18-24m) and Henderson (16-20m) Brucie has plenty to work with

like you have said we have moved for

    Elmohamady - 2m
    Wickham - 8m
    Larsson - free
    Westwood - free
    Gardner - 6m
    Ji - 2m
    Brown - 1m
    O'Shea - 3/4m (if/when happens)
    Vaughan - free (if/when happens)

thats 22/23m and dont forget clubs are paying us money from previous deals that have happened. I know Ipswich owed us a couple of million, Stoke still owe us money from the Jones deal and thats just two I can think of from the top of my head.

We are improving and making money with regards to transfers is anyother club doing that?

IMO we should go out and make either N'Zogbia or Kranjcar our marquee signing for this summer to add that bit of spice in the midfield

I dispute that, the Bould comparison is fair, but i referred to his height and physical aspects, hence mine had more depth.

Agree Poolie, other than Sessegnon we are lacking a bit of "spice" in the midfield.
