that is col's standard "get out clause" whenever race or abuse is mentioned. Its supposed to make it impossible for him to be racist (im not saying he is btw) aand is a standing joke between a few of us on here who pm each other...thats all....

Would like to say...I'm finding it really odd this "mixed race" chat...although I recognize it from my parents time... Let's say 1960s...It is not something I encounter in any place in my life outside here.. Where I work we have all sorts of different people..of varied nationalities.. and I never heard ithat phrase at all...
we are all mixed race....I am English, Welsh and German...and the German part came in during the war when people hated Germans...my kids are part Spanish thanks to hubbie...

Using that line of thinking, so do I. My other half is a ginger scot. (The boy got my hair which is a hit or miss thing. He's not ginger but it will fall out earlier.)

With all this talk of being 'mixed', I must confess that I mix my drinks .................. Bourbon & Pepsi each and every week.
I've been doing it behind closed doors for nearly 32 years of 'mixed' marriage to my lovely wife of Italian decedent.
I'm Aussie born but with English heritage, Cornwall to be precise.
So if anyone has issues with it, I threaten to up the dosage of Bourbon and lesson the Pepsi .............. I mean business!
There, I've said it, so deal with it and move on!
