I'd take him too... But would he come here? Under little pressure now into this? That's my worry.

Misread your post billy. Apologies. But our away support is phenomenal. Our home support rarely "support" the team when we are losing! If our home support made as much noise., start to finish, as the away fans do, I reckon the team would be better. Vicious circle unfortunately

We will win our next two games and everyone will be singing his name again.....Definitely not happy about today, but I certainly won't be calling for the managers head...
PS...Our home support being quiet has no bearing on today's result, so I can't understand why the comparison has been made..

If my last post was "Ive" I apologise, and please disregard as my IT skills and keyboard dexterity is near zero.

As a Sunderland fan of many years standing I have deliberately avoided writing my opinion on here as I tend to avoid knee jerk reactions to either bad, or good, results; preferring to assess a trend.

I watched the game tonight with a couple of Bradford fans in a bar in Baku and their commentary was cutting, in that there was only one team who wanted the game, and it wasn't us.

Much was made of the gulf in league position, wages, and playing surface, but come the hour the only diference was desire. This was best optimised by Jon Stead nullifying our midfield, and on face-value he would be in my Sunderland team now. He showed the qualities all fans, not just Sunderland fans, want: anger, poise, agility, and vision.

I do believe Gus had his best team out today from those available; had others been in the melting pot the team sheet may well have had different names on it, however the desire was missing. If you want blame the pitch, the manager, the ref or the fact it was a Sunday please feel free (by the way I blamed all of that and some), the reality is today we were beat by a team that had more desire than us, and this is the bitterest pill!

Me and Mrs B_M had our leave from Baku booked to visit Wembly this year, but it's not to be, and so be it; our focus now lies on the PL.

We believe Gus and the team will pull clear of the dogfight, but are realistic that the next season will offer little more sucor than this.

Heads up, support the team through THICK AND THIN, and look forward to a 15/16 PL season!

I was there yesterday and I thought our away support was abit flat. You going to blame us then?

More contradiction. You didn't correct billy when he said the fans were great... No you used his comments to have a go at me.

Being able to say you were "unlucky" to get that wrong makes you possibly the worst fan in the world! Support the team dickhead instead of hoping that bad things happen
