Brown has played for United for 15 years - he was a key player = not a reject

Simpson - failed to get in first team = reject

Having said that we have Bardsley and Richardson who were in the same position and been great for us so I am not being overly critical of your opinions, just saying makes me laugh all of you lot mock our signings with a proven quality PL record yet your unknown players seem to be messianic to you!

Yohan Cabaye and Sylvain Marveaux are both well known, Liverpool tried to get Marveaux and Cabaye was one of the best players in the French league last season, he was the most accurate passer too as well as a fully fledged France international.

    So yeah.... WES BROWN?????!!!!!

Who is the guy who used to post articles advertising his blog? He recommended Wes Brown once. I'm trying to find it to show how we were all against him before he moved to the Mackems but the search system on here is hardly ****ing helpful <doh>

Yeah, the key word is "WAS" and the incorrect word is "KEY"... since when was he ever key? He's only played about 20 prem games in the last two seasons, and he's always been a bench warmer over the years, never first choice...

I think "key player" is a bit strong!

Exactly! He's averaged about 20 appearances per season over the last ten years, compare that to an ACTUAL KEY PLAYER, Rio Ferdinand who averaged around 40 per season then you'll grasp the concept of a key player.

Now come on Brando, you must admit you've used a fair bit of fairytale describing him as a "key" player. He has never been a key player. A couple of seasons ago he got a sustained run when Gary Neville started having problems, but that was in his 2nd position as a right back. Did quite well too and Ferguson was fulsome in his praise. But the rest of time he has been a bench warmer who gets on when someone else got injured. Lets at least keep it close to reality.

Simpson, Richardson, F Campbell, Bardsley were all rejects. Smith, Butt, Brown, O Shea, Gibson failed to ever establish themselves as first choice and were squad players, who Ferguson trusted because of their character more than their ability.

actually since 2007/08 season Scholes has started 92 games, Brown 102, Giggs 116 so he hasnt been that much of a bit part player.

Scholes and Giggs are 36 and 37, they arent/werent exactly starters anymore. Read the article I linked above, that is our unbiased opinions of him.

Kind of forgetting that majority of those were in place of injured defenders like, Ferdinand?

in all honesty most on the sunderland board didnt want him, i have been a loan voice for months, but if he can keep himself fit, i believe he will be a revelation for us, and prove everyone wrong, but he has to stay fit. If he is ****e, then i will admit i was wrong, I just dont think he will be ****e if he can get a good run in the side.

I think O'Shea is a much better deal for you, rate him miles above Brown personally.
