Bassing has now started 4 games and we've only conceded two goals in that time. We seem to be more solid than when Adams ran things.
I am trying to not get too carried away but with the exception of one game, he has done incredibly well. I am not convinced the defence has been sorted out yet, as Wolves barely tested them today, but we'll see.
Quite agree re Brentford battersea, but AN seems to be getting the team playing more solidly now. I think that's 4 clean sheets in 7 games!!! Bring on Watford next Sat!!!!
to be honest im liking the chase of this end of season more than if we were at the top and looking behind us. Makes every match day feel like final day of the season, excitedly checking all the other results at the same time, and shamelessly hoping for their downfall!
it never looked that likely to be fair. Its hard to score twice when you only have one shot on target all game!
So Alex Neil 'expected to win' today according to Chris Goreham's tweet. How refreshing that is to have a manager with so much faith in his players, something Hughton never had if you ask me. Early days but McNally might just have pulled another rabbit out of his hat with Neil's appointment. He's brought back Seb who's playing out of his skin, Grabban looks different class ................WUS GORN ON BUH ?
He does appear to have something about him, not too unlike PL, in terms of his mind-set and ability to get a little more out of players.
Just back from the game - 1st game I've made since the start of the season. Defence looked very solid, Tettey was an unsung hero and Grabban is a man on fire at the moment. I thought Hooper and Redmond didn't look like they were running on full steam - Hopper looked more midfield the 2nd half. Not spectacular, but a well disciplined game where they made Wolves look quite ordinary and it never felt that the result was in doubt.
